I've been to a family reunion here, spent Christmas and New Year's Eve here (different years), and have come up various times to stay just to go skiing at Dodge Ridge with my kids, which is only about 30 minutes away. It's absolutely beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the cabins are cozy and have everything we... More

This is a cute resort that has a lot to offer if you want to hang out in Twaine Harte area, BUT I am very upset that it advertises itself as a Yosemite lodging ( I found it on trip advisor while searching for yosemite lodging). My car navigator said two and a half hours to Yosemite, and several people... More

In June, 2011, on a trip to Yosemite, we stayed at the Lazy Z resort. What a great escape. Beautiful cabin in the woods, everything furnished, had a shower, coffee maker, microwave, and comfortable bed and linens. We saw wildlife daily, and enjoyed the quiet location yet convenience to nearby towns. One nice touch was that the management had a... More

We thought getting here was a bit diffucilt, but once we were there the hard part was getting everyone to leave. This place is trucly special. Do yourself a favor and stay here just once...you'll want to come back, I know I do. More

Stayed from Thursday to Sunday and had a ball. The cabin(Sugar Pine #3) was spacious and warm with everything we needed to enjoy a few days away from everything. The Recreation room was great with pool table, darts, big screen TV, teriffic stereo and a warm crackling fire at oput fingertips. Each day ended with a dip in the hot... More

We originally booked a 4 and 2 bed cabin but were contacted and asked if we could take the 6 bed Zelco cabin in town. We agreed but when we eventually found the resort (don't use satnav - we wasted 30 minutes) we found the resort almost deserted apart from one guy by the pool on his cellphone telling someone... Location, location, location. BUT: The cottages are TINY. In our "4-person" cottage (#15), two people couldn't walk past each other between the beds, the tiny table seated two, and there was no sink in the "bathroom" (toilet and shower stall). If you want to use the microwave, bring your own microwavable dishes. The "water feature" is pretty but the Health... More

We stayed three nights with a four year old and a 13 year old in one of the Cottages. The air conditioner was quite loud since we needed it at night, but we were glad to have it since it was 100+ degrees during our stay. We loved the grounds and the fact that we had our own little "cabin"... More

This resort is a great place to get away. I have been once with a girlfriend, just relaxing, reading and swimming. I have also been with family, and it was just as fun and relaxing too! I love it there. The town is small but nice, with a little shopping, and great food. Villa D'oro is amazing. More
