Incredible property! Some how have missed this one in previous visits to north shore and Truckee. Was quite the surprise to find that this property has been here for many years. So well maintained, it looks like that it is brand new! Front desk folks are great and friendly. Rooms are perfectly appointed and very well maintained! Attention to detail,... More

went for quick anniversary trip, ate at Stella (another 5 star rec), room was great, nice bathroom, comfy bed (each side of the bed had its own comforter, I am in heaven), super clean. Had a nice glass of wine at the little bar in the lobby. Grounds are beautiful with cool 'live roof'. Two things, the hot tub was... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights while on business in the area. The rooms are cozy with many luxurious and modern features. The staff is very friendly. Very close to several restaurants and within close proximity to many ski resorts and Lake Tahoe.

The hotel is a lovely modern uncluttered gem. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The little lobby bar is perfect for sipping a whiskey in front of the fire and striking up conversations with other guests. It is near enough to Northstar without being in its traffic and craziness.

My husband and I had a wonderful two night stay here this past weekend. We came up for skiing and wanted a first class hotel close to Northstar. Granted, this is not a Waldorff-Astoria, but it rates 5-stars in my book. The hotel is well maintained, has personable, helpful staff, is comfortable, and has extra special touches to make one's... I stay here for work and pleasure. I have hosted work conferences at this hotel too. I always bring my dog with me. The staff remembers me and welcomes us like its home to us both. The rooms are well appointed and reasonably priced for the area. Great people who give great recommendations. Stella is yummie and convient for breakfast.... More

We have stayed here twice, once last March and again this December. The lodge is very comfortable, especially when you go into the dining area for your breakfast. The rooms are efficient, but not overly spacious but there is a good common room with a nice fire and coffee and as stated before, the breakfast serving is diverse and delicious.... More

There's nothing like staying someplace where some blessed soul has actually thought about the simple functional niceties we like to have when vacationing. These folks get the trophy. First of all the place has been built with the planet in mind, using reclaimed materials, as well as indigenous goods. The logs and timbers you first witness remind you of the... More

This was the overflow hotel for a conference I attended. The hotel is quaint and nice - great owner and staff is very accommodating!! Rooms were clean and updated but it still felt a bit old to me. My shower area was fabulous!! Great wi-fi service but the work service was not very conducive to working at night - small... More

We have been regulars to Tahoe for 30 years. Options in Truckee used to be pretty sparse. We didn't even know this place existed until this summer. We were surprised to hear they have been open 8 years! What a great find. The architecture alone is worth the trip. Room was modern and eco-friendly. Very cool. Snacks encouraged guests to... More
