Stayed in the Tahoe area for almost two weeks and this was the last hotel on the trip. Skied Squaw for two days and had the best time at this hotel after seeing the write up in the ny times. The beds were amazing and I wanted to take the down blanket home with me back to SC. Great hotel,... more

Great hotel -- nice architecture and German-style bedding/fixtures. Looks like a Swiss Chalet. Clean and comfortable. more

We recently stayed for five nights at Cedar House and had a wonderful stay. It was our first trip to the area, and Truckee turned out to be a great location for summer sports. It was convenient for biking, hiking, and most everything else. Breakfast was great, cooked to order every morning. And the staff was incredibly helpful, helping us... more

OK, so my wife and I needed to find a dog friendly hotel near North Lake Tahoe last minute since the lakehouse we were staying at in Incline Village with my family was not dog friendly. We looked for places we normally stay (Four Seasons, Ritz) that are dog friendly, but the Ritz C is not opening until Dec., and... more

Great design, great breakfasts, quiet rooms, friendly bartender, hot tub = and all ecologically friendly. What more does anyone want. There is no restaurant on site, but there is a good Thai restauant a five minute walk up the road. more

Loved it!

We loved the Cedar House Sport Hotel the moment we drove up. The modern architecture, with innovative use of metal forms, is a refreshing departure from what's typically found in Tahoe. The reception building--replete with comfortable seating, fireplace, complimentary beverages, and homemade cookies--was warm and inviting. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about recreational activities in the area; they... more

What a great place, were there for a wedding, the service was great! Wonderful food, the staff was great. Was even able to get a hack saw blade from the maintenance person, because the dress I bought at Macy's in Reno still had the security tag on it. Hip European fixtures and easy to sleep in beds with individual comforters.... more

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay here. From my inital call to make reservation to them helping us carry luggage upstairs, we appreciated the friendliness of the entire staff. We stayed in a larger king room that had a seating area which was the perfect size considering all that one brings when going skiing. We debated on... more

We stayed here 3 nights. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was great. The dinners on Friday and Saturday nights were very good and reasonably priced. The head housekeeper's recipe for the flan was by far the best I have ever had. The "Deluxe Queen" room was a bit on the small side. I think they designed it for one... more

We had a great stay - even with less than perfect weather. The included breakfast was great and provided a wonderful start for our days. All of the staff are warm and helpful. I look forward to a return trip. more
