We came up for a lacrosse tournament and loved being on the lake, near the State Park, close to good food and the main areas of town. The rooms were quaint, clean and nice. You say small I say snug...and lovely. I am glad we did not stay in town because this had a beautiful view and nice staff.

My wife and I spent our anniversary here. (Mid May) We have been looking at this location for years and finally decided to give it a try. We could not have been happier. We got a suite on the second floor and were very pleased with the room. It was cozy and warm and very comfortable. The fireplace heater was... More

A large beautiful deck with BBQ and lounging furniture plus a hot tub , The rooms all have access to the deck and if you have a boat, they allow tie ups. The room had a mini kitchen with cooking, equip and for those that drink coffee, they supply a regular coffee maker and fresh ground coffee. Very comfortable queen... More

Thank you for the kind words! We are so pleased that you enjoyed the deck and all that it has to offer. As it gets warmer you will see guests using the putting green, as well as the boat dock along with the complimentary row boat. We are proud to offer all of the amenities of a full kitchen along... We had the least expensive room, rather small, which is right on the large sunny deck overlooking the beautiful lake. As this rustic, older lodge is on a frequently traveled street, I thought we would hear auto noise but none could be heard. Even if you are there in the day, what you hear, besides occasional feet clomping upstairs, is... More

just spent a weekend at loch leven lodge on donner lake. it an older property. best described as rustic charm. rooms all have lake front views. the "suites" have an additional sofa, shared deck, and small kitchenettes. everything is pretty dated, but that is exactly the charm of the place. the rooms are on the small side and with all... Stayed here last year in September during a Tough Mudder weekend in Tahoe. The room we got is very small. The ceilings are low and walls are a bit thin. It was hard not to listen to a couple "doing their business" early one morning. The location is nice. It is within a few minutes drive to downtown Truckee where... More

Rooms are old and in need of updating as they are quite dark. The patio was nice except for the fact that there was a private party the day we were there and we felt like intruders. Walls are thin and in need of insulation. Kids in the room next to ours were being normal kids but we could hear... More

I can't say enough about this great lodge in Truckee. It may not look like much from the outside but it is a gem! When you open your front door you see Donner Lake spread out in front of you. Each room has a balcony or deck and there is a huge deck, hot tub, outdoor grill. It is close... More

This is a wonderful quaint little hotel right on Donner Lake. Each room opens up to the lake and there's a wonderful deck you walk out onto that is shared with other guests but there's plenty of room to feel on your own. The owners and manager are wonderful, accommodating people and will make sure your stay is very pleasant.
