Stayed here over a 3 day weekend. Although we've stayed at other luxury hotels before, this was our first at a Ritz-Carlton. We traveled with our two dogs. Location: stellar views in every direction. When we stayed the snow was mostly melted so I decided to forgo hitting the slopes; but this would be an ideal ski in ski out... More

Stayed for 2 nights, 3 days. Upgraded to club level, which I highly recommend. Club level offers you the ability to experience an all-inclusive resort style stay. Breakfast is great, everything you can imagine, lunch is wonderful, as well as h'ors d'oeuvres in the evening with drinks e.g., champagne, beer, wine etc. available at your leisure through-out the day. Tons... More

Stayed in a fireplace mountain room which was super comfy. Our first time staying at a Ritz and was very satisfied. The service was excellent, greeted by your name! Ski valet: awesome! Before we even checked in the valet took our skis and boots to the mountain concierge. Boots on warmers and they even asked if we needed help putting... More

Couldn't ask for better service. Bringing our skis out to the snow each day and keeping our boots warm overnight. Right on the mountain, ski in and ski out. Couldn't ask for better location. Everything was top notch!

This hotel is fantastic in every aspect; service, location, rooms, amenities, ski service, hot tub, etc. For skiing they offer a ski valet service. At the beginning of the day take your shoes to the "Mtn Valet". Your skis will be waiting outside, next to the slope. At the end of the day, leave your skis & poles on the... More

Exactly what you'd expect at a Ritz Carlton. Friendly, accommodating staff. Beautiful room. Wonderful ambiance. This was a fall trip, so no skiing this time around. Just plenty of time to enjoy the hotel and chill. Thumbs up!

The resort has beautiful views of the mountains from the rooms and there is easy access to the North Star Villlage for dining, shopping, and ice skating. We didn't ski there this trip and the February temps were unseasonably warm at around 60 degrees each day so I cannot comment on local skiing. The resorts were making snow for skiers... More

Even though there was little in the way of real snow, the slopes were just fine with the man made stuff. The hotel is perfectly located, just slightly out of the way from the main slopes, which decreases the traffic of skiers not staying at the hotel. Very nice facilities, awesome fireplace in our room, incredible views. The food was... More

We just returned from a four day ski trip to the Ritz Carlton at north star. I was extremely disappointed with the service and the hotel. Anytime anyone in our party asked a question the answer was always no. Whether we were asking for small kids robes, a special drink or anything simple- the staff was always extremely rude and... We arrived at the hotel and found the place to be amazing. If your able to stay on the club level, do it!. The daily food offerings and wine/cocktail selections were great. We have stayed at many other Ritz club levels in the past but the Lake Tahoe Club far surpassed the others. The rooms were very spacious and we... More
