We stayed in a one-bedroom condo unit for 3 nights. It was within a 5 minute walk to the Village. The condo was clean, no-frills and had an adequately equipped kitchen. We enjoyed having the option of cooking our meals. The only downside of our stay were the indoor bugs. On our first night, we noticed that we had a... More

northstarattahoe, Front Office Manager at The Village at Northstar, responded to this review

At Northstar-at-Tahoe, our primary concern is the safety of our guests. Notified of this potential issue, we contacted a well respected Professional Pest Control company to address the issue immediately. That same day, the Pest Control Company did a thorough inspection and confirmed there was no trace of bed bugs in the condo. We then did a comprehensive deep clean... More

We arrived at the front desk to learn that the unit we booked did not come equipped with Air Conditioning. After arguing with the guy at the front desk for about 15 minutes he offered to refund my room completely if I wanted to find another place to stay. This was out of the question as I had never been... More

We had never visited the Tahoe area and were unfamiliar with the finicky mountain weather. We stayed at Northstar because we were part of a wedding party. Being that it was shoulder season, we anticated that it would be quieter than usual, but not deserted! First, we arrived after 7pm - check-in starts at 4pm, and the check-in desk closes... More

This was actually the second time we stayed in the Northstar Village Lofts. Room 306 or 309, I believe it was. To be honest, I've pretty much soured on staying here. It was nice the first time we rented here, real close to the slopes (although the uphill schlep to the gondola in ski boots takes it out of me).... More

I skied Northstar one day recently. Conditions were okay given the warm/cold cycle that caused hardpack. The best thing about the base village is the boot fitter, IMO. The outdoor skating rink is cool. Might be a nice place to hang out after skiing. Negatives: rather exclusive (we have money and you don't), satellite parking (with efficient busses) if you... More

Stayed five nights in a Ski Trails 1BR condo. Clean and well maintained, but dated - or as I prefer a bit rustic yet very comfortable. Impression is that many owners don't rent out their units making for a quiet area during the MLK holiday week. Access to slope was about a 200 foot walk, and to the main village... More

We paid $300 per night and for this price we had to park far away from our room in the slush and snow. The "hotel" does not have any lobby or place to relax. It is just hallways and hotel rooms that resemble worn out college dorms. Our room was shabby not "chic". The walls and ceilings are paper thin.... More

We had a condo style room adjacent to North Star village. Great location.

A couple of years ago we stayed in a condo at Northstar. The place we had that trip was perfect. We forgot the condo number we stayed in so we went with the flow. The 2bd we were given was ok but not the one we stayed in before. We asked the front desk if we could change and gave... More

Be sure to see photos of room rented. We made a mistake and didn't stay in new, updated area. We didn't know the differences.
