Stayed five nights in a Ski Trails 1BR condo. Clean and well maintained, but dated - or as I prefer a bit rustic yet very comfortable. Impression is that many owners don't rent out their units making for a quiet area during the MLK holiday week. Access to slope was about a 200 foot walk, and to the main village... More

We paid $300 per night and for this price we had to park far away from our room in the slush and snow. The "hotel" does not have any lobby or place to relax. It is just hallways and hotel rooms that resemble worn out college dorms. Our room was shabby not "chic". The walls and ceilings are paper thin.... More

We had a condo style room adjacent to North Star village. Great location.

A couple of years ago we stayed in a condo at Northstar. The place we had that trip was perfect. We forgot the condo number we stayed in so we went with the flow. The 2bd we were given was ok but not the one we stayed in before. We asked the front desk if we could change and gave... More

Be sure to see photos of room rented. We made a mistake and didn't stay in new, updated area. We didn't know the differences.

We were there for a reunion of college classmates. The staff was very helpful in suggesting things to do and coordinating our stay. Good value for the money.

A couple of Tahoe ski resorts (Northstar and Squaw) now use their off season slopes for mountain biking -- they make trails and bumps specifically for bikes and add a special ski lift attachment to carry bikes up the mountain. We didn't try it, but saw a number of riders (in full body armor which can be rented at the... More

After being hyped as the best value for the wedding party to book by the wedding planner which was taking place at the Ritz, I arrived to find there was no air conditioning in my unit. As the weather was in the high 90's, I asked if there was another room I could move to, certain there was a mistake.... More

We booked a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom place from June 7 to June 11. This time of year is still considered off season so the price was much lower than usual. We stayed at the Catamount lodge and it was fabulous. The rooms and bathrooms are very big and very nicely decorated and the kitchen is fully equiped. We were... More
