CHeck in at Northstar Village is at entrance to resort by highway. Simple hotel room centrally located in the village. No problem with stowing skis & snowboards in room. Parking is difficult, but then you really don't use the car. Central location in Village is awesome. No more than ten minutes to anything in the village; some at 3 minutes.... More

The village is great, lots of shops, couple restaurants, rentals and ice rink. In the morning we stood in a pretty lengthy line to get our rentals (around 8am). We booked the rentals the night before online and saved quite a bit of money from what I saw others spending that morning. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Although... More

We stayed in the hotel style village room during the holidays. The location is great, literally steps from the gondola. Stores, restaurants, and the recreation center are all within very short walking distance. But the room is just old although decent size (we may have got a bit larger one). Carpets are dirty, bathroom is small, and the heater sounds... More

Very well run village great love ice rink. We tried to pizza place and bistro and they were ok at best. We stayed at iron horse apartments which were great. Handy Safeway just by lake not far from resort. Ski field was great. I would go back.

We drove up to Northstar resort from Heavenly village in Tahoe because they had little mountain open. The locals tell me that Northstar and Squaw Valley consistently receive more snow than South Tahoe resorts. The drive up was really beautiful. He resort itself was well run, efficient and friendly. They had a great variety of terrain open and our family... More

awesome place for families coming in to hang out and ride some of Northstars excellent snow. The ice rink in the center of the village is always busy and a good source of free entertainment. The fire pits that surround the rink offer a little bit of shelter and a lot of warmth. Don't forget about the free s'more's cart... More

Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. Top quality cuisine, from bar food appetizers to entrees. Superb breakfast buffet on weekend. Outdoor 85 degree pool at spa is awesome on a cold snowy morning. Gondola to village with skating rink and fire pits to be enjoyed day or evening.

Stayed in the lofts, which were quite dated and old, but charming in a "mountain" kind of way. The village in general was great, lots of fun stuff to do, great shopping, decent restaurants. Looking forward to going back.

I stood here and it was so beautiful being in the mountains. They had an ice skating rink in the village and many stores to shop at. The lift to the top of the mountain was great. At the top they had some hiking trails. Also there were 3 restaurants to chose from. It was snow season, but i know... More
