We stayed at Northstar during a short summer vacation in North Tahoe. The newly-created village was lovely - fun shops and restaurants, nice skating rink, mini-gold and trampolines for kids. The recreation center (an additional $2/day fee for guests) was well worth the money -- full of cardio equipment, and two terrific pools (including an adults only lap pool), and... More

Our family has been going to Northstar since the early 1990's. It was such a family oriented facility with great amenities, clean and updated. Now I would never recommend this property in the year 2014. We stayed there twice this summer and both visits were regrettable. The television did not operate after several calls to housekeeping, and the carpets were... More

I am a huge fan of Northstar - a beautiful centrally located Tahoe/Sierra resort with a beautiful tennis center and great walkable village. In the past, we've stayed in the Aspen Grove condos because they are so walkable to the village and tennis and have lovely outdoor space in the trees. The one bedrooms were unavailable for our travel dates... More

We stayed in a 2 bed condo in Catamount. It was centrally located and very nice. It worked perfectly for our group of 6. The staff at Tahoe Mountain Lodging was great to work with as well. The pool, hot tubs & proximity to shops & restaurants was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

Believe all of the bad reviews... I have NEVER stayed any place worse! This rating is for the privately owned condos and not the lodge which appears to be quite nice. We started with a studio and after three tries finally "upgraded" to a one bedroom. Each were equally old, dirty and dated. The first one had cigarette butts on... More

Review of Northstar Resort during Summer/Downhill Mountain Biking Season. We just came back from an extended weekend at Northstar and had a very enjoyable experience. In general, we found the resort (the Village) to be beautifully maintained and well appointed without being stuffy. The variety of activities ... downhill mountain biking, hiking, and a Rec Center that offers two pools... More

I haven't rented a room here but the skiing here is fantastic!! This is one of the best resorts in the country and have always loved every second of it. It is a little spendy, but I feel it is always worth it. I would recommend to anyone looking to go hit the trails and spend a day looking at... More

The lodge is very nice, the rooms are clean and the location is awesome, the only thing negative is that alot of the shops were closed which was a dissapointment.over all the place makes you feel like you are actually on a vacation. Its sort of like high class camping.
