We once again visited Northstar in mid-June. We stayed at the Village Condos run by Tahoe Mountain Resort Lodging. These condos are great. New, access to new pool/workout room etc. While there we visited friends staying at a place booked through Northstar lodging. The condo was as described here. Old and very dated. I do love the Village-at-Northstar, but I... more

Our original booking was for a village room ($260/night) that was circa 1960 complete with disgusting carpets, a bathroom the size of a small closet, and a sliding door that wouldn't open more than half way...Upon complaining they moved us to a condo ($300/night) that came complete with rotting food in the fridge, carpets so dirty that we wouldn't walk... more

We went to Northstar for 3 nights at the end of March. We arrived early (12pm, check-in is 4pm) but were able to check in to our room with no delay. We stayed in a village room - it was a good size and a great location if you will be arriving by airport transfer. The rental shops, tickets booths,... more

Booked the Stay and Ski Free Package and it did not exceed our expectations. The ski in ski out was the greatest part of the resort. From our room it was about a 5 minute walk to the gondola that took you up to the lifts. Stayed in the village and the room was small and hard to get the... more

Won't return. Sofabed and Cable TV were broken, Northstar ticket sales refused to provide promised express passes until I complained. Ticket sales overcharged me by 34%, had to return with receipts. more

We stayed at the Ski Trail condos for 4 nights. Location is good...just a short schlep downhill to the lifts (not truly ski-in-ski-out as advertised, but pretty close). However, these condos were built cheaply in the '70's, and really show their age. Very sparsely furnished with broken furniture and barely enough cups and glasses for a family of four to... more

The reservations staff was very helpful in finding the right package and type of unit for my visit. I was nervous when I made the call that I wouldn't be able to afford to visit a resort of this caliber at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only could I afford it, they were going to give... more

We have been staying at Norstar every year for the past 20 years. This year we had requested a similar condo to the ones we had previously stayed in before and an additional bed. When we arrived, the extra bed was off limits, it was up in the loft with no access and the condo was the only one which... more

We stayed in a Village Room for 2 nights, Feb 1-3, with my husband, myself and 3 kids (including a 10 month old). After reading the reviews posted here I was aprehensive about what we would find upon check-in. But I was pleasantly surprised. Our unit (#234) seemed as though it had been recently renovated. It was clean, stocked w/a... more

My family and I decided to go to Northstar for a family getaway. We were very tired after a long 4 hour drive so we expected to see a nice hotel room. Instead we are left with a cabin like room made of smelly wood. If you plan on staying here do not go to the lodgings, stay at the... more
