This is an odd little hotel that appears to have been built for the ski crowd who don't plan on spending much time in it. I travel several days per week on business throughout northern California. This hotel is pretty good. My room was nice and quiet (although the hotel was not very full) and pretty clean. The breakfast was simple but above average. The wireless internet in my room worked OK. There is a grocery store and a few restaurants within walking distance. more

The Inn at Truckee was a disappointment all around. The lobby and rooms were of the quality of a Motel 6. The furnishings were spartan at best, very outdated and of cheap quality. We stayed there for 3 days last week. We took the "no elevator" $59/night special...which means you merely need to take stairs to your room on the 3rd floor, which was no issue whatsoever. The room was clean and comfortable. Great value for the money. Every other motel that we researched in Truckee was over $100/night. more
