We are a group of friends, numbering up to 100 people, who camp and have homes here at Trinity Lake. Ruth and her son, Bill hosted about 70 of us for the Thursday Steak Night last night. Ruth went out of her way to accommodate us for dinner, even preparing one meal for our totally Vegan gal. We walked across... More

Thank you Rose for joining us at our weekly Steak Fry with all your friends. It was my personal pleasure to see your vegan daughter happy with her meal. We accommodate all diets and try to please everyone's palate! Our staff had as much fun as your friends dancing to Mike and the Meteorites! Have a great rest of the... More

horrible, ruth the owner is rude and always dirty..the meat slicer in the kitchen had not been cleaned in along time the floors were nasty, and the staff were drunk the whole time you could smell booze on them everytime they came in the room. I watched staff dump chlorine in the pool and overheard a worker say she was... More

We are already planning our next visit. My wife and I are not experienced trail riders. Our wrangler was very patient with use and made sure that we were well taken care of. The scenery was beautiful. Spent the afternoon fishing Coffee Creek, which was across from our cabin. The cabins are rustic and very comfortable. The meals were very... More

It was our pleasure to make sure you had a great weekend from the horseback riding to the dining experience and showing you where to catch those fish! We look forward to seeing you again this year in the fall. Happy Trails, Ruth and Mark Hartman More

I'll go back there in a heartbeat. I found it by accident - it was getting late, I was tired, and Ruth, the owner, let me stay for one night. I was poking around one of my favorite creeks and remote mountain areas in California and didn't realize the ranch was there. Ruth's cooking is beyond supreme, the big pool... More

The electricity goes off at night, and often things don't work that should. The owner, Ruth, was shrill and rude to her family and staff. The cook pushed his outings and hounded us to join him, even though we said no twice. I heard the staff talk about their cabins, and how meth had been cooked in them, and they... More

The main focus is trail riding, although there are other activities available. I rode every day on many different trails in the beautiful Trinity Alps. If you enjoy horses, wilderness and mountain trails, this is the place to go. The horses are well cared for with large pastures for them to roam. In addition to the (I think 400 acres)... More

It was our pleasure to cook and share recipes with you and Danielle enjoyed taking you to Boulder Lake for your picnic lunch. Flint, your horse, says thank you for all the carrots on behalf of the herd. We look forward to seeing you back in August with grandkids along for the rides! Have a great rest of the summer... More

HORRIBLE... dirty, outdated, broken plumbing. Dead bugs on the floor; dust on the furniture. Owners were rude and denied there were major problems. I do NOT recommend it to anyone. Extremely expensive, and not worth the money. Even the horseback rides they promised to offer did not run when there were not enough people signed up. This place needs a... More

My husband and I stayed at Coffee Creek Ranch over Memorial Day weekend. What a great place to unwind and unplug from the busy life. We sat on the porch looking out into the beautiful forest and listened to the water of Coffee Creek in the distance. We tried our had at fishing in the pond from the paddle boat... More

Great home cooked food that I thoroughly enjoyed. I met the owners, Ruth and Mark Hartman. They made me feel like family, something very difficult to find these days. It's a special place with a very rich history. Mike White

My 10 year old daughter and I spent a week in July 2014 at Coffee Creek Ranch. We had a wonderful time. The cabins are comfortable and rustic which is what we expected. The meals were wonderful and down home. The staff was very helpful and experienced. This was my daughter's first trail riding experience and the horse she rode... More
