Two couples travelling - all agree: Outstanding B&B. We arrived late at night to find our keys waiting and an open invitation to help ourselves to wine and other beverages, smores (had we chosen to light the "campfire") as well as use of the hot tub. In the morning I walked the grounds/gardens, lit a "campfire" took a lot of... More

We stayed for two nights in June and LOVED this inn! We were welcomed so warmly by Brian and Rebecca! They were eager to meet our every need, and they work so hard to accommodate their guests. Rebecca helped us with suggestions for touring the Redwoods and made dinner reservations for us, as well. We stayed in the Beluga Whale... More

Stayed in the Beluga Whale room with our 7 year old son - he LOVED the loft. Everything was clean and well-kept. Good, personal service with attention to detail. View was amazing! Came late at night after dark (very accommodating for our late check-in needs) and we couldn't see anything till morning - great ocean view with rocks and sea... More

awesome b&b my wife and I just stayed overnight, very sad we wanted to stay a week! very relaxing the host couldn't be nicer. Would have loved to tried out the outdoor sauna in the garden but we had to go.... Great waking up to the sound of sealions barking by the sea. great couples place.

If there is a nicer thing than to awaken to a view of the ocean from bed, I don't know what it is. This property has certainly evolved since my husband and I first stayed there 18 years ago. They now have a wonderful lawn and garden area with a nice fire pit and a private trail to abalone cove... More

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and were able to visit us again after 18 years! In regards to the upkeep of the house we do our best to keep the house in the best condition as we possible can. The outlet cover in the hallway was accidentally broken just a day before your stay and we have... More

The Lost Whale Inn is the perfect B&B. I booked the Sea Lion room for the weekend so my (as of this trip!) fiancée and I could have a romantic getaway. We were beyond amazed at the service and the experience. We planned on driving down a little later in the day but and didn't make it there until about... More

Lost Whale Inn is simply the best place to stay in Trinidad. It is heaven. Our family of four (two kids under 10) loved the experience so much we extended our stay. The location is divine...and central to so much redwood and beach activity. Great view, beautiful gardens, a private cove where we explored the tide pools, found agates, and... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here on our drive from Portland to San Francisco. It was such a beautiful place! We were in the Grey Whale room which had an amazing view (and the room looks much nicer than the photos on their website!) and a very comfortable bed. We loved the hike down to the little beach with a... More

We walked into a candlelight dinner out of the rain of the day and into a lovely room, the best view, huge windows overlooking ocean. This is one of those places we'll be sure to go back for special times. The hosts created beautiful from scratch tea time and meals that surpassed any food we have experienced at a B... More
