Well, the fine people here did it again! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay again – this time as the first phase of our honeymoon. The people who run the Emerald Forrest are kind and believe in people. What I mean to say is, they might not be fast as lightening (we’re not at the Waldorf), but they... more

We booked this site months ahead and the staff taking our reservations said they had an ocean view. I also asked if they would please choose two sites for us that were nice since we were not familiar with the campground. She assured us she reserved us two nice sites, as we had a young toddler and two older children... more

This is a wonderful rustic resort. It is for people who want a close experience in the redwoods without the rigors of camping--but they do have camping sites for those who would rather camp. If you are looking for elegant furnishings or a soft king size bed, this wouldn't be for you. Apparently there is variation in the layout and... more

There is something magical about waking up surrounded by ancient giants. Our little cabin was comfortable, spotless and cozy. That is, after we managed to force open the door when it wouldn't open with the key. We checked in late and the clerk was anxious to be off for the night. She told us to quickly grab dinner as everything... more

We were looking for a comfortable, rustic setting for a mini family reunion and this place was perfect. We got a 2-bedroom cottage with living room and kitchen. The setting was lovely and quiet under the trees and away from the road, but only a mile from town and restaurants. Would have preferred a king bed or double queen, but... more

My Husband and I found the Emeral Forest to be perfect for the much needed getaway we were looking for. We rented a kitchenette and found everything we needed to prepare our meals during our 3 day stay. We of course brought some things from home, but did not need anything else. The staff was eager to meet all our... more

My partner and I were traveling up the coast from California to Oregon. We happened upon the Emerald Forest by asking someone in a parking in Trinidad about places to stay. The person working the front desk was friendly and allowed to look at a few cabins before selecting one to stay in. We chose a one room cabin that... more

I loved it here! We stayed in cabin Q, a newer one. It was clean, and had everything we needed. I loved the location in the redwoods. They had a great area for kids with playgrounds and lots of room to run. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definently stay again. more

I don't know who is the owner/manager but the store is filthy. The store is so dirty that the dust effects my sinuses. It seems as if the owner / manager / customer service can't hear because I as a customer felt neglected. The store really needs cleaned up. When I visited their, I made sure I shopped elsewhere. One... more

This is such a beautiful place, we will be returning year after year!!! With such a friendly, helpful staff that provide more information than any other place I've ever stayed, I found every aspect of The Emerald Forest an excellent experience!! We had a fully equipped cabin that was clean and comfortable. In a forest setting, I am amazed at... more
