My family and I stayed at the Doubletree for four nights at the end of May. The following is a very detailed review of our experience. Overall, our hotel room, interaction with staff, and location were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again. From the moment we entered the Doubletree, we were warmly greeted by the... more

I've stayed at this property about 20 times over the past 6 years. If you are chasing Hilton points, like me, then this is your best bet in Torrance. If not, do yourself a favor and spend $20 a night more and stay at the Marriott across the street. It's way nicer. Transfering it from being a Hilton over to... more

I stayed here for business in April and was expecting something less than great from the reviews I saw posted. I think they just did a major renovation since I didn't encounter any of the problems or shoddiness in earlier reviews. I stayed in a suite which was a good size (not huge) and very well laid out. The bedding... more

I'm a Hilton fan, but my latest stays are getting to be disappointing and this was no exception. I stayed here for 4 days on business and it was certainly not up to my expectations of a Hilton brand hotel. Check-in was quick, but after stepping off the elevator I was greeted by a dank and musty smell the length... more

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights/6 days. The hotel entrance is very nice. My husband, 3 year old daughter, and I stayed in a double bed room. Although the room was a little stuffy when we first walked in, we were able to get the AC going and get the humidity out of the room. The room was... more

Stayed at the Doubletree Hotel Torrance/South Bay for three days and two nights. Arrived early in the morning about 8 o'clock, but was still able to check in to three rooms with no problem. Front desk staff very efficient in making sure this was possible and that all three rooms were close together as requested. Yes, the seven of us... more

This is an old property and rennovation is not lavish, but it is decent enough. Staff was helpful and courteous. If you happen to be stuck in Torrance for whatever reasons, the location is good in that there are a multitude of restuarants and shops immediately adjacent. Seems to be a lot of international flight crews staying over and I... more

I expected a little bit more from this previously Hilton, now DoubleTree Hotel. The carpet was old and stale. The furnitures in the room were very much dated; the chair and ottoman were stained; and the fridge was functional, but old. On the other hand, the beds were comfortable. After I got settled in the room, I searched for a... more

I choose Hilton brands for the quality of the rooms, but am finding that the Doubletree brand is slipping quickly. My stay at the Doubletree Torrance / South Bay CA was this type of situation. I arrived at the hotel around 10:45pm; on Sunday 8:15am on Tuesday October 23. This is a long review, but if you don't have time... more

as per my previous review really, stayed again for a few days in august, its handy for the airport, handy for del amo, theres a decent grouping of mid to budget range restaurants in the area and in general even with the rebranding, despite changing the names on a lot of things, it remains much the same....Staff friendly enough, breakfast... more
