This was a wonderful, unexpected find for a girls weekend in Tomales. The rooms are of ample size, clean, charming in all respects, & have very comfortable beds. Loved Tomales Bakery across the street and the delicious clam chowder at the William Tell House next door.

This is a hidden secret town, lovely, but small. The room was wonderful, and quaint and CLEAN. No breakfast was available at the hotel during the week, and the only option was a good one across the street where we ate an early dinner and breakfast and it was very good. The town commercial district consists of this hotel, a... More

We were on our way to Mendocino via a circuitous route that brought us into Tomales, CA late in the evening. Tomales is not a big place and the hotel was on one of the main four corners. We had made on-line arrangements for room #7 Lords and Ladies per their vernacular. We arrived late and used a previously supplied... More

Do you need to disappear from the daily grind? Do you want to go where there is hardly anyone else? Somewhere where there is little cell phone coverage but great internet speed? This is the place. If you stay in the rooms in the back or upstairs, you will have a fairly quiet time. It is a historic place -... More

Nice clean room slightly below average...lighting inadequate...below average continental breakfast, however satisfying until lunch...avoid room #2 due to excessive noise from the adjacent building's restaurant and bar...very colorful language

We were planning on spending the day in Mendocino and wanting a place to stay on our southern journey. I happened upon this wonderful inn on expedia. It was a little above our usual budget, but well worth the extra dollars. We arrived around 6pm and were met by a lovely woman, who explained the hotel and even brought us... More

We stayed in the Lavender Room with two queen beds. We had a chance to peek into some other rooms and noticed they were a little bit larger. It was the three of us (self, wife, and son) so it was quite fine. Great location, right between Pt. Reyes to the South and Bodega Bay to the North. Also there... More

After driving up Highway 1 from San Francisco and visiting Point Arenas this was a great place to stay. Historic but with modern amenities. A very comfortable bed and an friendly staff. Across the street was a great place for breakfast.

The quaint Continental Inn, along with a general store and other conveniences, form the main intersection of the tiny town of Tomales. The rooms are comfortable and excellent. (Though completely lacking in sound insulation - this was not too big a problem during our stay since the town was silent most of the night.) We loved our stay, and West... More

This old time hotel looks like something out of Gunsmoke. Very comfortable, they are very helpful, and we enjoyed our 4 night stay here over the holidays. It was really in the middle of nowhere, but we found a delicious bakery across the street to grab a bit for breakfast
