Stayed here two nights mid week. Never saw the innkeeper. All info on front desk. Coffee available for the making in the hallway. We enjoyed the restaurant next door. Rooms are numbered and the higher the number the further back from the road. We were #1 and would return for a room farther back from the street. All in all... More

Ms Penny, and her Continental Inn are Simply GREAT !!! Highly recommended, with just the right balance of Location, Appointments and Care ! ...After enjoying a Marvelous and Adventurous day of paddling sea kayaks on Tomales Bay, we retired to the Continental Inn (just up the road) feeling a bit tired, and in need of some cleaning up and feeding.... Spent a great night in Tomales, after a fab afternoon of slurping oysters on the half shell from Hod Island Oyster Company. Bought a sack and went to Dillon Beach, a funky little beach settlement just over the hills from Tomales. Room at the inn was very comfy, nicely appointed, very clean, and inn-keeper is a delightful person.

Most runners will understand wanting a weekend get-away to run as many trails as possible. We found our way to the Continental Inn Friday and enjoyed the Point Reyes trails Saturday and Sunday. Most hotels charge for a late check out and it's not fun driving home dirty and stinky after a long run. The Continental Inn graciously let us... More

We found the Continental Inn on Bedandbreakfast.com after purchasing a gift certificate from that company. It's not really a b and b, but rather a very comfy hotel within great walking distance from just about everything in Tomales. We stayed on a Sunday night and were told that breakfast was only offered on weekends. Monday was Martin Luther King day... More

We stayed at the Continental Inn with a Groupon special, so our room cost was half price which was a bargain. It's a nice place, with 9 rooms and 1 suite, with small but cozy lobby. Although Tomales is a tiny town it is a good central location if you're exploring the area which seems remote but beautiful. We enjoyed... More

I simply loved the town of Tomales. It struck me quite literally as some place I could live and instill myself quite seemlessly. The town is perfectly centralized to visit any number of places north of SF. Point Reyes, Bodega Bay and Sonoma wine country are all within relatively short drives. Longer day drives include Fort Bragg and the Lost... More

We called into tomales one evening and were welcomed at the William tell pub who kindly called the owner of the continental . We sorted our selves out with a key as the owner was away for the evening and had a great stay left my details on the front desk and had a great stay at a good price... More

We stayed at the Continental Inn with a Groupon special, so our room cost considerably less than it would have. I'm not sure if we would stay here at full price. It's a nice little place, with 9 attractively decorated rooms and 1 suite, each one different. Rooms aren't overly spacious, but sufficient, and ours had a full tub/shower in... More

Penny at the Continental Inn presented the most delightful start to our fabulous New Years. This quaint boutique hotel, is located in the heart of Tomales, CA just steps away from our New Years Venue, the William Tell bar and restaurant. Tomales is fifteen minutes away from the California Northern Coastline and we were thrilled to be there for New... More
