As a group of four, we just spent our third year up at Slippery Winds Wilderness Resort. If anything over the past 3 trips, the fishing and service has only gotten better! The fishing was great, and the variety of fish to catch due to the various lakes available for fishing is unbeatable. We went from catching a 15 pound... More

On advise from a party which has made many trips to this lodge, we spent our first trip at Slippery Winds Resort the first week of June. We were overall very pleased. The staff was pleasant, helpful and took good care of us. The food was excellent and plentiful. The boats and motors were in good working order. The plastic... More

Ginny and I just returned from Slippery Winds Wilderness Resort! Wow! It had been five years since we were last there and the fishing was even better than we experienced last time. We caught all six species of fish and had the opportunity to catch and release two trophy walleyes and two Lake Trout. We found the professional services of... More

This is an update to a review I posted earlier this year. We went back to Slippery Winds in July for what has become our favorite week of the year. I can honestly say that in the almost twenty years I have been going there the camp has never been run better. Bob the camp manager was attentive and proactive... More

My 2 borthers, my son and I recently finished a 4 night three day fishing trip at Winds. The staff was friendly and helpful. The local guide gave us free information on where and how to fish. The boats were working and in good shape. The American Plan meals were good, and not having to bring food and cook let... More

I've been going to Slippery for 12 years with my son. This year my wife filled in for him and said it was a great time and that she'd be happy to go back. Being catch and release, the fish are plentiful and good size. Great that there is such a variety of fish and that there are several lakes... More

This is a fisherman's dream. We went last year and loved it. The average walleye was around 25" with the largest exceeding 30". We caught everything from Lake trout to Smallmouth. The Team of Butch, Barry, Clyde and family was awesome. We will return very soon. If your planning a Canadian fishing trip look no further. This sure beats an... More

I've been to Slippery Winds Wilderness Resort 15 times over the past 12 years. And without question, it's my all time favorite Canadian lodge. Service and staff are excellent, but high quality fishing is what most are looking for at a wilderness lodge, and Slippery Winds is unrivaled. With six different gamefish and easy access to six beatuful lakes, an... More

I have visited Slippery Winds annually for over 15 years now and it is always one of the highlights of my year. Fishing for six species on six different lakes adds variety and a bit of adventure to the trip but on Yoke Lake alone you have a legitimate shot at a Master Angler fish in 5 of those species... More

We realize that maintenance of the motors and boats was as issue last season and we are working to recitfy that situation. Several boats were taken out for repairs at the end of our 2011 season and we are also having all the lodge motors serviced and repaired as required prior to the start of our 2012 season. Our 2012...
