We always camp with a large group during the month of October for their Halloween festival. They do a GREAT job with the haunted hayrides and haunted houses. The kids and adults have a BLAST!! It's a little on the expensive side but worth it! The dance party at night at the little town center is always fun! We are... More

Let me start by saying my family and I have stayed here 6-8 times over the last three years. We bring a large group (20+) people and campers here each year to hangout. Our last excursion turned out to be a nightmare. As were driving toward out spot on a narrow one way road , in the merlot area, a... More

We went and had a nice experience. Everybody kept telling us we needed to bring a golf cart but with bicycles and a pickup it wasn't necessary. Overall it looked like it was better back in the day but still was nice enough for us to come back. Because the cost is pretty high at $70 a night we will... More

To begin with, the address will not come up on your GPS and the coordinates are incorrect. It is listed on highway 79 South, but instead the true address is on Temecula Pkwy. So we began our trip a bit lost. The park is huge, with plenty of good size RV spots. The scenery is nice, staff OK. They advertise... More

This place is a gem in a sea of parking lot camp grounds of Southern California, vail lake has a really nice spread. Do your homework though... Not all spaces are created equal and there are many amazing spots, equally there are some really bad ones. My favorite being #71 situated at the end of a culdesac perched up top... More

We were introduced to this campground by my family. It's rustic, quiet and pretty well maintained. If you own a rzr or arctic cat type UTV, you can bring it here! The sites have full hook ups and a fire ring. During the summer they have a waterslide and a couple pools to choose from. There are also two coin-op... More

My family and I have been coming to Vail for Halloween for about 8 years! It keeps getting better and better. Great trick or treating for the kids, haunted hay ride, haunted house, music, amazing food, and overall, great energy! Vail is the best place for my family together because it is such a safe environment. Truly, we feel perfectly... More

Caught roughly about 13 big white bass and 3 GOOD size bluegill between the two of us! The wind was super crazy over the weekend but surprisingly made all the fishes hungry! Although as exciting as it might sound, fishing in this resort ONLY for catch & release, unless the fish you caught is swallowing the whole hook! So after... More
