Not worth the price trains kept us awake all night paid extra for a cat noise in the area we had breakfast that was next to the repletion desk We stayed at one next night and for the 130 some dollars there was worth it but not for what we got at Tehachapi

I apologize for your negative experience. Unfortunately, we do charge a $20 pet for the extra cleaning necessary. The fee, plus the room, and tax will unfortunately run about $130. I am sorry you did not get much sleep, there is little to do about trains though. I hope you will return and give us the chance to provide you... More

While this hotel is adequate, it really isn't up to typical Best Western standards. We did receive a very friendly greeting at the front desk on check in though, credit for that. The beds were pretty uncomfortable, although this may be a matter of personal preference- it's not like they were sagging or worn out. The room was "okay" clean,... More

This was absolutely the most uncomfortable bed. The room and the bathroom were not clean. Booked online while enroute in moving truck and website turned out to not be Best Western website. Was overcharged by about 30% by the website. Wasn't asked if I needed non-smoking room (I did) and it was a smoking room. Ended up having asthma so... More

This is an older property, nicely maintained (but for a worn out bed). The room was large enough and certainly was clean. Staff was friendly. Morning breakfast was nice. The BNSF tracks run nearby, and it is a major east-west rail line, so you're going to hear some trains during the night.

Our room was spacious and clean, but toilet seat would not stay up and the shower dripped all night, even after tightening it. The bed was nice and the staff was great. Overall a decent hotel for the price. Our room was on the back side of the hotel so the train noise was less, but you also have to... More

Immediately when I walked into the room there was a odor of feces. I sprayed my Right Guard until it was almost empty..... The bed seemed to be like a canoe, you'd roll to the center and difficult to get out of.

The staff at this motel have obviously had some great training. Friendly, worked with a sense of urgency and were attentive to the guests when registering in. I do not know how a motel receives the star ratings. This motel was rated a 2.5 and I just can't see it. Perhaps a 2 star. I enjoyed the fact that I... More

We have always enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Tehachapi when traveling from Santa Fe to the Bay Area with our dog. But unfortunately this property is no longer pet-friendly. With limited options, we chose the Best Western Mountain Inn. It was acceptable. But our room (103) had an odd smell that was overpowering enough to make sleeping... More

Drove from Flagstaff on our way home. We picked this location based on other reviews. The room was a nice size, clean and quite. The AC worked great to cool down the room bit. Location is a easy off and on from the freeway. Close to great places for dinner too. The staff was very friendly both at check in... More

On drive from Sacramento area to Phoenix, this is the perfect spot to stop, timing is great, scenery much better than I-5 and the Grapevine, and there is super sushi restaurant nearby. We will always go this way with the benefit of a very good value in both sites.
