Holiday House is my paradise on Lake Tahoe! Who needs the Ritz when Holiday House beats them hands down. My wife and I have stayed at numerous five star resorts all over the United States and the World but none of these compare to the personalized experience and cozy environment nor the vistas of the lake and mountains offered here.... If you are looking for a unique, friendly, cozy, relaxing place to stay with absolutely the best views of Lake Tahoe, then Holiday House is the place for you. There are only six units here so the privacy is unbeatable. Each unit, plus the large deck area, has incredible views of the lake and the mountains. Instead of just a... More

The reviewers who mentioned the awesome view of the lake were spot on. The innkeeper could not be sweeter. The dated rooms were clean, but the exterior of the inn is in need of much work. If we had simply walked up without a reservation, we probably would not have stayed. I find it very difficult to rate this inn... More

If you're looking for an amazing location that is clean and functional and within easy reach of a lot of fun things to do do in north lake tahoe this is a great place. I travel for work... More

I'm balancing gorgeous scenery with our room. View is simply beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly situated. The rooms, however, were dated (the bad kind - not charming retro), and dirty. What appeared to be mouse waste in kitchen drawer and on bathroom floor. Bed was not uncomfortable, but frame dirty/dusty. I understand: 1. People are stomping in and out all the... More

What a hidden gem! We stayed here last week for four days and what a great experience. The view from the deck cannot be beat. The rooms are rustic and have a cabin feel, if you are expecting the Ritz, you will need to go elsewhere. There was plenty of room for everyone and the room was very clean. you... More

It's amazing place! I like this style of the hotels, owner is so friendly and nice women! It's pets friendly hotel, so we took our cat, and I was worried how it could be; however, it was excellent vacation! Our cat was so happy in this place! I love beautiful view from room, so peaceful! Also, rooms, kitchen, and bathroom... More

Pros: It's right on the water, and the vibe is laid back. The owner is a super-friendly nice lady, and it's a family-run business. I like that. Dog friendly, and she also offers paddle board lessons. They have a floating pier you can swim out to and enjoy. It's a small place (8 rooms total). You can smoke. Cons: It's... More

We recently stayed for the third time at Holiday House, and with our two dogs we would not stay anywhere else in Tahoe. The lakeside suites are rustic, yes, but with all the comforts of home. The views are terrific from any of the four levels of decks (and from inside the suites as well), and for those interested in... More

This is the first time my husband and I have vacationed in Lake Tahoe. I found Holiday House on Trip Advisor and decided it would be perfect for us...which it was. The view is amazing . Morning coffee even tasted better while sitting on the second floor balcony watching the water sparkle like diamonds, truly. The owner, Alvina, was charming... More
