“Place is really cared for”

I have to say, first off, I'm impressed with the level of work and care the owners put into this place, taking time to chat with all the guests. Pro: nicely renovated 1950s motel. Food and service are of a high quality. Lakeside setting. Cons: Substantial noise from adjacent highway. Tiny TV in room. Small barely updated bathroom We visited in the bargain season. I do not believe that this hotel is worth the rack rate charged in the summer.

A few comments in response: We do offer 5 of our rooms with Big Sceen TVs, and 4 of our rooms with small hidden discreet TVs. “A wonderful and relaxing birthday”

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend at the Shore House for my birthday and loved every minute. Marty and his team are wonderful and gracious hosts. Although we live only an hour away, whenever we "escape to the lake" it will be to the Shore House. Thanks Marty!

Above and beyond guest service. The food was world class. Marty is a great host who cares about your experience. Its fun to meet with other guests in a great environment. The location cannot be beat. We will definitely try our hardest to return to the Shore House when we return to Lake Tahoe.
