When we first pulled up, we were a little disappointed in how the exterior of the building looked...old. But the receptionist, Ashleigh, was absolutely delightful and so helpful. She upgraded us to a new renovated room at the back of the property with a small kitchen. We paid a bit extra, but definitely worth it as the room had views... More

Squirrel House room 141, small refrigerator, microwave, table and two very un-comfortable straight back chairs. There is no Lake view from the room and no privacy unless you keep the curtains closed, then the room is dark. This is one of the rooms in the middle of the building. The rooms on either end are larger and seemed more inviting,... More

This is a very average facility. The room was clean and the staff very friendly, but it is an old facility and it is showing the age. The bed was as hard as a board, in fact harder than the floor (which had a definite bounce to it). This room hopefully wasn't one of the recently renovated rooms. Price was... More

Tahoe Vistana exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Squirrel House, room 143, which had a king bed, with a bedroom containing a queen and twin loft bed. The furnishings followed the rustic Tahoe style, but were modern. Think more World Market, less Sportsmanship Warehouse. For example, there was a river rock entry immediately inside the door, the perfect place... More

We booked this online via booking.com, then the owners sent an email to booking.com to let them know the price was incorrect and we owed them more money. Then when we arrived from Australia, the room we booked was pitiful, these are the traps of booking online across the world i guess, the room we had booked was one of... More

When my family came to meet us at check out they stated it appeared much cleaner than the place they stayed in. I am certain of that as that was the first thing I noticeD when I walked into our room after leaving theirs somewhere 6 miles away. Excellent service and parking in front of your room. There was a... We stayed here in the summer as a stop off during a long road trip. It's an older place and is a bit run down. (We saw a mouse inside our unit, but the manager said they would take care of it immediately.) But our room had everything you need: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two pull out sofas, and a... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, we really appreciate all feedback, sorry for the critter visit, we have a service to manage our property, however being in the woods of rural N. Tahoe our property sometimes has unexpected guests. Recently a bear meandered through as well. Yes, we agree our property is great for a ski... More

This was obviously an unfinished project. It was hot & there was no air-conditioning. The curtains were all mismatched ~ the area rug was one of those $9.99 Walmart outdoor porch rugs. And lets not forget to mention the 4:00 p.m. check in time!? An hour later than any other place I've ever herd of~ with checkout time being 11:00... More

Dear Sir: You stayed in one of our standard rooms. They are quite comfortable and have many amenities for your stay, refrigerator, micro-wave, wi-fi, TV and a fan. Because of Tahoe’s normal weather of cool nights and comfortable days many area locations do not have air-conditioning. Unfortunately, you arrived during an unusual warm spell and could have asked for another... More

We paid for room 130, which is in the middle of the place. There are more plusses than minuses here because they really do seem to work at making things comfy. I like the courtyard area and beach access, which is across the street. The fridge, freezer, and microwave is nice to have in the room too. The bed was... More
