I have to admit that my expectations were pretty low and I think that was because of "Rustic" being in the name. We stayed here for a family reunion so we weren't involved in finding it but I was so pleased. The location was perfect! The beach was across the (busy) street but locals are so nice and would slow... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. The cottage was roomy for all 4 of us and the kitchen was perfect for cooking, but it could use some more pots and pans. The place was clean, plenty of bath towels and very close to the lake. I personally want to thank the owners for making our Golden Retriever... More

Rustic Cottages is a perfect little spot across the street from the lake. Charming cabins and gracious host. This location was perfect for us with Moon Dunes Beach across the street. We also walked to dinner at Lanza"s Italian and only drove two minutes to golf at Old Brockway. We love that the cottages are only and hour from our... More

I was looking for an old fashioned cabin along the north shore of Lake Tahoe and happened upon this one. It has totally exceeded my expectations. Very clean, good location, decent amenities and a comfortable bed. Other reviews mention roadside noise. I am a light sleeper and heard very little noise at night. Unfortunately, my daughter and I got the... More

We go every year and stay in the Manzanita cabin - rustic and cozy cabin feel, perfect Tahoe experience. Great location for North Lake - Moon Dunes beach across the street is great. Stay in the cabins behind if you don't want road noise. Free breakfast in the morning and many rooms allow dogs to stay. Weber BBQs and patio... More

We just stayed in a small studio cabin called the Bijou. As stated on the website the accommodation is small, my husband would have preferred something bigger but I was more than happy with the smaller size, at the end of the day as long as its clean (tick) and has the basics (tick) then I'm pretty happy. If you... More

My recent stay here exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Edgewood cabin (a "large" cabin according to the official website). The website says it doesn't recommend this place for 6 adults, but it was perfectly fine for the five adults. There are two daybeds, two trundle beds that pull out from under the daybeds, and a king-sized bed. As... More

The Ritz-Carlton it is not, except in the category of guest-caring, and then Rustic Cottages gives the high-end hotel a run for its big bucks. But then if you want a Northstar luxury resort for a getaway, then there is no comparison-except in that priceless category of "we are honored to have you as our guest." That phrase comes the... We stayed two nights here in a small cabin with a kitchenette. The cabin was cosy, clean and well appointed and comfortable for two people. Each morning there was a very good breakfast with cookked meats, scrambled eggs, fresh muffins and lovely waffles in a pleasant dining room. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. A good place for exploring the... More

This location is great. Te cottages are quaint, but small. If you need space note the size breakfast is great also, we have stayed here for we'll over 10 years and keep coming back. My choice for the North Shore.
