Don't let the street-side sign fool you - the Firelite Lodge is bright, modern, and comfy inside. Tahoe Vista isn't quite as walkable as Tahoe City, but there are still a few restaurants within walking distance (El Sancho next door has great burritos for lunch), and you can't beat the beach and kayak rentals across the street. The breakfast spread... More

Our family of 4 went here for a weekend trip. At first glance, the outside of the motel looked a bit worn and dated, but we were pleasantly surprised to find the interior clean and remodeled. We were on the second floor with 2 queens and a sofa bed. The room was very nice with a fireplace, microwave, mini fridge,... More

Four of us stayed here for a girls' getaway (2 queen beds per room) and found the location very convenient to nice beaches and a wonderful hiking trail. Since the lodge is right on the highway (as all of them are around the north shore), we were glad for the large fans in each room to help block the highway... More

Fit our needs perfectly. Right across the street from the beach. My daughter loved watching the waves from our room on the balcony. Very clean. Continental breakfast was nice. Would definitely stay again

Had an interview in Tahoe. So it was not a vacation. Just a drive in sleep and go. I called the night I was leaving and the people on the phone were very nice. They asked if we were going to be arriving after ten. I thought we would but was not sure. I called at 9:30and said we would... More

This is a nice hotel, just across the road from the lake/kayak rentals and just 7 miles down the road from Lakeshore. We had a third story room with a lovely view of the lake. Very clean place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lady at the front desk was super nice. A nice touch was the fireplace for... More

We stay in a lot of hotels and usually do not have big expectations when we pay $100 a night for a room. However Firelite Lodge proved to be an outstanding value and we'll definitely return. We arrived to what I think is the room with the best view in the place. Everything was freshly painted and clean. The bathroom... More

Beds/linens excellent, very clean. Good breakfast and I stay at a lot of hotels. Nice fireplace in the room. Quiet. Priced right. Quick in and out of our hotel room. Right off the road, but the rooms set off away from the traffic.

Immediately upon walking into the reception area, it is easy to sense this family's pride in their hotel... You are directly across the street from the lake with several restaurants and a pizza place within walking distance. All of kings beach is within walking distance for those with a bit more energy, or literally a 1 minute drive. North Shore... More

Overall, we really enjoyed out stay at Firelite Lodge. We were in Tahoe with our two kids, so the two bedroom king with pull out twin sofa was very convenient, as was the little kitchenette (which is really just a sink, fridge, microwave and countertop, but it was great for storing and preparing snacks.) The free breakfast was very basic:... More
