Older motel, but well maintained and clean. Quiet rooms on the back overlook the golf course. The "continental breakfast" is very limited, served in the small lobby area. If you are a breakfast person, plan to go out for breakfast.

First of all, check in was fast and the gentleman (Tom) that got us checked in was SUPER friendly and easy going. The room needs some updating, decor is way old school, wallpaper is aged, and the 2 double room is pretty cramped. That being said we (a family of five) had a comfortable 2 night stay thanks to a... No snow on the ground, so not full occupancy. Unit is showing it's age, but the room was clean to my expectations. No real breakfast, just coffee, fruit, and prepackaged pastries. Room is quiet, could hear nothing from rooms on either side. Food is close, go to Rosie's for breakfast.

Have stayed here many times as it is very well maintained and clean. The staff exceptionally friendly and knowledgable. Location very handy for the many ski resorts and contrary to some reports skiing was available from top to bottom at many of the resorts close by (Mt Rose, Squaw, and Northstar to name just 3). Plenty of close restaraunts and for... More

Stayed January 2-4, 2015. Went for a shower at 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning. No hot water. Left it run 10 minutes no hot water. Called the desk. Very attentive girl said she would call the owner. Continued to leave the water run, and when she called back 10 minutes later, still no hot water. Girl says that owner says I... More

We pulled in and were greeted nicely at front desk , we were told about all the local places around to eat and gave us coupons for discounts which was nice because we were not locals , parking was easy and close to room, really a good deal for a budget minded traveler.. location is close to several ski areas... We paid insanely high rate during Xmas holidays, but that is besides the point. This is a modest property, old fashioned decor (consider this as compliment) and very friendly customer service at the front desk. It is conveniently located in Tahoe city and guests get 10-15% discount on nearby restaurants. We did not use the common hot tub facility. There... More

A motel that does not pretend to be anything else but located in picturesque Tahoe City, across the street from the shore of Lake Tahoe, 10 min drive to Squaw Valley and 20 min to Northstar resorts. Old and tired, but clean rooms and courteous staff. Just a token breakfast but for $65 I was not expecting anything more. Hot... More

This location is in the center of Tahoe City & within walking or biking distance to every major location as well as many restaurants, bike/boat/jet ski rentals, retail & food stores, etc. If you are going to spend the day enjoying Tahoe's outside world on rental equipment or just hiking around, plan on saving money for those activities by spending... Never stayed in an America's Best Value Inn before, it's a couple steps up from Motel 6 and some other places in the same price range. On a road-trip/adventure visiting 29 counties around Northern California regarding my wife's hobby/activity of Geocaching. Only concern was TV. Nice big flat-screen, but won't show full picture and which was no a big concern,... More

We are proud to have the only wide-screen TV's in Tahoe City but was concerned that you did not have sound on some of the programs, especially the stock market channel. Yes, sometimes the cable companies do not perform at their best but we will certainly do research on the reasons. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and... More
