A motel that does not pretend to be anything else but located in picturesque Tahoe City, across the street from the shore of Lake Tahoe, 10 min drive to Squaw Valley and 20 min to Northstar resorts. Old and tired, but clean rooms and courteous staff. Just a token breakfast but for $65 I was not expecting anything more. Hot... More

This location is in the center of Tahoe City & within walking or biking distance to every major location as well as many restaurants, bike/boat/jet ski rentals, retail & food stores, etc. If you are going to spend the day enjoying Tahoe's outside world on rental equipment or just hiking around, plan on saving money for those activities by spending... Never stayed in an America's Best Value Inn before, it's a couple steps up from Motel 6 and some other places in the same price range. On a road-trip/adventure visiting 29 counties around Northern California regarding my wife's hobby/activity of Geocaching. Only concern was TV. Nice big flat-screen, but won't show full picture and which was no a big concern,... More

We are proud to have the only wide-screen TV's in Tahoe City but was concerned that you did not have sound on some of the programs, especially the stock market channel. Yes, sometimes the cable companies do not perform at their best but we will certainly do research on the reasons. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and... More

Stayed here while go river rafting on the Truckee River. It's a great location, right in the middle of Tahoe City with in walking distance to the beach, shops, grocery store and restaurants. My room faced the golf course but it was very noisy. There was a common walkway both in front of my room and also behind it which... More

It was great to hear that you were able to go RAFTING ON THE TRUCKEE! It is a beautiful experience just to sit back in your raft and watch the scenery go buy. Yes, our location is the best, especially when you can walk to the rafting point without driving a car. More

My other half and I stayed here for one night. The room was clean, nice pool, hot tub and staff were friendly. We had a late check out so we missed breakfast. I asked the gal at the front desk when we were checking out if they had any coffee and she said no, but I can brew a fresh... More

Whenever I see that someone from San Jose has stayed at our hotel, I think of the wonderful times I had in that city. I'm happy that the desk manager offered to brew you a fresh pot of coffee, in spite of being out of it. That is AWSOME service and I thank you for your kind comments. More

Stayed here one night and as usual for us it was picked as it was 100% non smoking. Check in was pleasant and we were told we had a good room, which I think looking at the majority on offer it was, 2nd floor overlooking the golf course. Now for a budget hotel this was a good sized room, you... More

I, myself will not stay at a hotel unless it has NON-SMOKING ROOMS!. Unfortunately, we can't ban smoking outside so the smell of tobacco sometimes finds it's way into a room in spite of all our efforts. Anyway, we thank you for all your positive comments, and please, come again. More

We stayed outside Tahoe city for our first 2 days in town and moved in the night before the race. The room was clean and inviting. The staff was pleasant. We will stay here next time definitely. Was a breath of fresh air from the smoke we were fighting outside.

Stayed here because it was the only place available (within reason) for an event. The hotel is a well worn "motel". However the room was clean and comfy. Staff awesome, very helpful. Appreciated coffee in the am...don't expect much more. Easy walk to bus stops, restraunts and bars.

We were pretty sure we wouldn't stay here again when the manager's (Doug P.) first words to my husband, during check-in, were "Do you have a dog? There are no dogs allowed! Even in the parking lot!" No, we DON'T have a dog; my brother and his wife followed us into the parking lot in a separate vehicle; they have... More

The location was great, although the rooms were dated. The room was clean in general but had a musty smell & the carpet, upholstery, etc. did not seem so clean. We have a 1 year old and her hands & legs were pretty dirty after crawling around on the floor in the room. The breakfast was small- juice & some... More
