Was looking for an inexpensive place for a 2 night romantic getaway. Mixed Emotions. This place is perfect as far as location goes. We were centrally located and could walk everywhere. Rented bikes nearby also to get around everywhere else. The heart-shaped bath tub was the next best thing. Although outdated, served the purpose. Added bubble bath and candles(: Third... More

one of the worst nights in my travels. This hotel has seen it better days. Low price for Tahoe and you get what you pay for. Room was in need of work. Blinds didn't close, one was cloth, no window screens, needed paint, leaking facet and towel rack about to fall off wall. room was too small for two of... More

We stayed here many years ago w/ a then-2 yr old son, and that time only due to price & location. This time, due to the rising rates at the ABVI where we had been staying, we opted to try T.C.City Inn again - it was the ONLY other inexpensive option in Tahoe City less than $200. Also, heard it... Big mistake , the so called heart jacuzzi tub.... No hot water . They must have one ten gallon hot water heater for the whole hotel !!! The carpet is nasty , there is no continental breakfast that they advertise . The parking lot is filthy always , the rug at the entrance to your room looks like its never... More

The Tahoe Inn's website fooled us. The photos looked good with the jacuzzi and the nice king size bed. Further, it stated to 400 movie selection for free rent. Well, the rooms really need an update. For example, paint blisters of the wall, stains are in the bathroom, and a really old and nasty carpet was not very welcoming. The... More

Stayed here on a ski trip January 2013. the hotel is very central located in Tahoe city next to shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly. My room was in need of basic maintenance paint, missing trim etc. I booked the cheapest room and had a huge heart shaped Jacuzzi in the middle of it. The rooms seem to... More

My husband and I stayed here in January, I came back to the sight to book another room and felt I needed to write a review. We had a great time, it was in walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops. It is older but that makes it that much more fun. Where else can you find a heart... More

We arrived at this establishment to be "greeted by a woman who tried to give us as little information possible. This woman was angry or extremely upset over something and took it out on us. This particular evening was quite cool and we needed heat in our room, but after searching, found this room did not have a heater We... More

Arrived here today, July 20, 2012. Room is bad. No air, no screens on windows. The only window that opens with a screen is on a balcony where people can walk by and look right into the room. Close the blinds and there is no air. Room smells of old. asked for another room, upgrade, anything. They have nothing better... More

The room was small, poorly lighted, and only partly updated. Nice TV with DVD/VCR combo (Tapes available at the front desk). A little noisy. For example, could clearly hear the neighbor's hot tub upstairs (they quit at 11pm, fortunately). Desk staff was friendly and continental breakfast was above average.
