We just stayed at this motel for the Fourth of July weekend. It was awful! To start with, they did not have our reservation when we called the night before. We were supposed to have two rooms. They said that they had a "suite" available if we would like it. Since it was the night before and there weren't going... more

This is the first time that TripAdvisor has really let me down. I usually agree with the consensus opinion, but not with this property. I cannot understand why this lodging received such a high ranking. It's inexpensive, but not a good value. Our Deluxe King room (#19) in this former "Adult Motel" featured a large pink heart shaped tub adjacent... more

We went away for the weekend to get away. We had such a great time. They just remodeled part of the lobby. Cozy, comfortable. They provided drinks and dessert one evening. Fantasic continental breakfast that started at 8am not 0 dark 30. They left it out for a couple of hours. Great view of the Lake, walking distance from restaurants,... more

I had the most enjoyable few nights in tahoe which were made even more comfortable by staying at the tahoe city inn. Our room was huge, much bigger than I expected and a few essentials were provided in the room- even vitamins! Proximity to the slopes was great, and the staff were extremely helpful in advising us on how to... more

I don't understand some of these negative reviews! Look, this place is not the Ritz Carlton but its a great value-- the rooms are clean, the tv's and tubs are big and the location is perfection. If you want the Ritz then pay the Ritz's prices--otherwise enjoy an extremely decent lodging run by the nicest people ever! And don't miss... more

This is a great choice and one of the best options for stay in Tahoe. The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are comfortable, the price is reasonable, and has a great location. No need to stay at a overpriced placed when options like Tahoe City exist- really good value. Cant be beat. more

My girlfriend and I checked into this motel on the spur of the moment. We got a nice clean room with a comfy queen bed and a great marble spa tub for fun for our Valentine romantic quick getaway weekend. It had just snowed several inches and made for a nice surprising winter weekend of fun in the snow. We... more

I've stayed here in 2006 already - back then, in a room with a hot tub which I really liked. So I thought let's give it another try. This place is OK - but overpriced for the older look that some parts of the room of the motel generally have. Lower the prices to aout 40-50$ for a standard double... more

I was driving through on business through North Lake Tahoe on Memorial Day weekend. I was tired of driving from the Bay area and needed a quick over-night stay. I found the Tahoe City Inn open late and decided to check in after talking to the desk person. I got a room with a very comfortable queen bed and a... more

Geez, when you drive in the parking lot you expect a low price deal of a place. My gosh the Motel 6 is cheaper than this small mom & pop motel owned property. It is way over priced for the rooms that are stuck in the 80's shape. There are new TV's and clean microwaves and small fridges. The beds... more
