We loved having a great view of the lake from the chairs outside our room on the seventh floor. Elevator was a little slow, but gave me inspiration for exercise - on the stairs! The hotel room was clean, but small. Free breakfast was cereal, yogurt, waffles, rolls, juice and coffee. Bed was fine. Coffee maker, fridge and microwave were... More

A pleasant hotel situated in the northern part of the lake.Apart from the tiny single lift to upper floors the hotel was comfortable and reasonable value for money. The area is much quieter and reserved compared to the commercial, noisy, gambling hall areas, in the southern part of the island

We were on the 7th floor the view was amazing! It was still cool so we opened a window, but there was no A/C if that matters I would definitely go back, our daughter lives in tahoe & she was very close to us, she works across the street also

We decided to stay in Tahoe City as one of our stops on our drive from Vegas to San Fran, The Pepper Tree Mill room was very clean and tidy, the receptionist was really lovely and helpful. Our included free breakfast the next morning was delicious, waffles, bagels, pastries, cereals, coffee, juices and more. Walking distance to some great cafes/bars.... More

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. What a great unobstructed view from our 7th floor balcony overlooking Lake Tahoe! Room was clean and updated. Really good value staying here. Breakfast was adequate and the woman tending to the breakfast room was friendly and very efficient. My only negative comment is that no one is at the office after 9pm.... More

I booked a room at the Pepper Tree Inn a couple weeks ago for a Valentines Day/Anniversary/Congratulations getaway weekend for my boyfriends. I was looking at hotels all around Lake Tahoe no specifically Tahoe City. I just wanted a nice area that was close to hiking. I researched hotels for good week solid trying to get the best bang for... More

Hotel choices are few in Tahoe City! The Pepper Tree Inn offers a clean, small room with a reasonably comfortable bed. The wall heater was tough to get right. It was either too hot or too cold in the room, but once I found the sweet spot on the thermostat it stayed comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast... More

My friend and I stayed here for a wedding that was in town. We were originally placed in the lower portion (bottom 2 floors), which was clean but terribly outdated and the view was blocked by other businesses. The heater had issues, which kept us up all night, so we got switched to a room on the third floor. It... More

We were pleasantly surprised given the reasonable cost of this hotel. Centrally located right on the main drag in the middle of town within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. Clean room with sufficient amenities (hey, it's not a resort.) Ask for a high floor for a killer view of the lake. You won't be disappointed.
