My fiance and I had stayed at the Peppertree Inn previously and had an uneventful stay so booked it again for a recent snowboarding trip. We checked in around 9 PM and found that our door did not lock. We noticed this when I went to insert the card key and the door simply opened. There was some noticeable damage... more

Fantastic service, family frendily and the staff were fantastic we needed to book an extra night and it wasnt a problem. The breakfast was good even though our tastes (being from Australia) are quite different but kept us going untill we stopped for morning tea the rooms were comfortable and clean, no problems with leaving personal items in sight of... more

Stayed 1 night. Booked 2 rooms on 7th floor - fantastic views of the lake. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Our rooms were a good size. Free WiFi. Friendly & helpful reception. But - no Air-con. As a result, glad we only booked 1 night. Did not get a good night's sleep - way too hot. Breakfast... more

We had a pleasant say for two nights at the Pepper Tree Inn in August 2008. The facility is very central to Tahoe City—close walking distance to most of the restaurants and shopping. The front desk was helpful, courteous & friendly at check in and checkout. On-site parking was never a problem (even though the property was full). Our room... more

We stayed at this motel for one night only so my review might not be as valuable but I'll share it anyway. We stayed in room # 703 (top floor). It was very, very clean and with a super nice view. We spotted some mice droppings around the plastic chairs in front of the room. Beddings are very simple, look... more

I agree with those posters who say the staff is rude. We had an issue with the phones and it was not pleasant dealing with them. But the Inn itself was a great value for the money, especially if you are on a lower floor. No other complaints about the room. Nice views if you are high enough up. There... more

DO NOT STAY HERE. Here are the reasons why this place is absolutely horrible: 1) My perfume was stolen out of my room (I assume by housekeeping) and management would not do anything about it. They simply said "our housekeeper wouldn't do that". The female owner was extremely defensive and rude. No refund, no apology, no customer service whatsoever. 2)... more

Superb experience. We made a 3-day trip up, stayed friday and saturday night. We were in room 301 with the whirlpool tubs. The room was in great condition. Good amount of space for our snow gear, and a heater on a side wall panel that was convenient to dry off our snow gear overnight. Bed was one of the most... more

I have to echo the earlier reviewer who was mystified by the negative reviews of this place. Our experience was a good one from beginning to end. Our room was very clean and nicely furnished with a large TV, microwave, small fridge, and very comfy Sleep Number bed. The view was spectacular and, yes, there was a huge jacuzzi tub... more

This hotel claims to give you in room jacuzzi's - we had a very small shower- the rooms are very overpriced for the size - the management is rude - they double book rooms and keep the extra money - their customer policies are designed to do one thing and that is to get as much money as possible from... more
