Great location and beautiful scenery! We stayed in a corner room with a fireplace. The room was spacious & rustic. The fire place was big & took up the whole wall with beautiful stone work. The continental breakfast was great with a lovely (but small) sitting area next to a beautiful window that overlooks the lake. The bathroom in our... More

No Michelin Stars for this place. Have previously truly enjoyed Christmas dinner at Sunnyside but that was some time ago and this was Christmas 2014. Menu descriptions sound wonderful. Reality was not so wonderful. We brought our family of 11 folks to have what we thought would be an excellent dinner based on long ago. We will not do it... More

We came across this place whilst out late with our friends looking for somewhere to eat.. We were grateful when another place pointed us here. We just about made last orders for the kitchen. My husband & I shared a burger and fries, as did our friends. We all went for a non-alcoholic cocktail called Ginger Lime Fizz. I have... More

Nice place. However the free wifi doesn't work in the rooms and housekeeping vacuums at 6am. When you are on vacation, it's not ideal to be woken up at 6am to vacuuming. When we notified the staff, they seemed to care less. Wifi never did work in our room even after the staff reset it. Otherwise the place was nice.... More

My daughter had her wedding here in November, before that I had only had dinner there. I cannot praise this place enough, the staff was absolutely wonderful, from the front desk, housekeeping, manager and the wait staff. It is an ideal place to take over for the weekend as we did. Food was most excellent! I was in a recently... More

All I can say is that this is one of the most best Tahoe lakefront hotels that I have ever been to. Just a short 2 to 3 mile drive from Tahoe City, this place is a gem. Lakefront lodge done right! Small enough to be personable (only 40 something rooms), but right on the lake. The atmosphere here is... More

Stopped here for lunch (did not stay at the Hotel) and had a great experience! October was still warm enough for patio seating. Tried the fresh fish and a burger entrees and had enough for leftovers...good service and great food. BTW, the famous "brunch" is only on holidays so call ahead or check their web site. The restaurant does take... More

We stayed here for a wedding that took place in June 2014. The room was comfortable but overpriced I felt. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room phone was broken. We felt the breakfast buffet could have had more choices such as more fresh fruit and different types of bread. We only ate at the bar one... More

Had lunch here with five friends and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and view of Lake Tahoe. We all had different dishes and each person raved about their choice. In September many places are not full and some even close. After hiking Eagle Rock we stopped here based on recommendations from others. What a wonderful lunch stop.

One of the restaurant on my list to check out. We are sure glad we made a point of stopping for lunch. It's was a beautiful Sept. afternoon so we ate on the deck, what a view of the lake. Everyone had something different, we all enjoyed our meals while gazing out at the lake. The lunch was plentiful so... More
