All I can say is that this is one of the most best Tahoe lakefront hotels that I have ever been to. Just a short 2 to 3 mile drive from Tahoe City, this place is a gem. Lakefront lodge done right! Small enough to be personable (only 40 something rooms), but right on the lake. The atmosphere here is... More

Stopped here for lunch (did not stay at the Hotel) and had a great experience! October was still warm enough for patio seating. Tried the fresh fish and a burger entrees and had enough for leftovers...good service and great food. BTW, the famous "brunch" is only on holidays so call ahead or check their web site. The restaurant does take... More

We stayed here for a wedding that took place in June 2014. The room was comfortable but overpriced I felt. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room phone was broken. We felt the breakfast buffet could have had more choices such as more fresh fruit and different types of bread. We only ate at the bar one... More

Had lunch here with five friends and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and view of Lake Tahoe. We all had different dishes and each person raved about their choice. In September many places are not full and some even close. After hiking Eagle Rock we stopped here based on recommendations from others. What a wonderful lunch stop.

One of the restaurant on my list to check out. We are sure glad we made a point of stopping for lunch. It's was a beautiful Sept. afternoon so we ate on the deck, what a view of the lake. Everyone had something different, we all enjoyed our meals while gazing out at the lake. The lunch was plentiful so... More

Reading the other reviews, I realized how important it is to know yourself when choosing a hotel. Clearly, Sunnyside is enjoyed the most by social, lively and fun people who enjoy a few cocktails in the evening. Just a few, because we found the restaurant to be quiet atfer 10:00pm in the middle of August. (Just in case, the hotel... More

My husband and I took a day trip around Lake Tahoe. Great food, great service and a great view. The fish tacos were excellent. If you are vacationing in Lake Tahoe put this on you list of places to dine.

Stayed here with the family. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The view cannot be compared. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and just the right size. The restaurant was great for dinners and with the amazing setting... Impossible to duplicate elsewhere. The boat rentals associated with the hotel were convenient and professionally operated (high Sierra water ski school).... More

Came here for Sunday lunch and sat out on the deck. Good food, friendly service, great view. Husband had the fish tacos and enjoyed them. I had the veggie tacos and they were also good. Friend had the seafood salad and it ended up so large that she couldn't finish it - but had lots of fresh seafood. Would certainly... More

The hotel staff was unpleasant upon check in and throughout our stay except Don was pleasant and the gal on the night shift was fine. The place was dirty and tired and not what we expected. It was lovely to be on the lake but you really feel like you are staying above a bar. The restaurant was dirty and... More
