I found this Inn when looking for accomodations for 4 of us close to Squaw Valley as my husband and son wanted to ski there. We loved the Cottage Inn! I booked two cabins right next to each other since there were 4 of us, we got Cozy Corner and the Fishing one (forgot the exact name, every cabin has... More

The architecture of these quaint buildings is captivating, unlike any we've seen. In the center of the compound is a large grassy area with seating, where we enjoyed the afternoon sun while taking pictures and enjoying some wine with our Florida cousins. Breakfast in the small Lodge building was great. We were told that many regulars enjoy 'cabin hopping', where... More

As we arrived after a long drive at the Cottage Inn we were made very welcome by Susi. The room we got was exceptionally: our small cottage was the skier's resort, which was great. Especially the fireplace made a very cosy atmosphere. The whole resort is very nice with attention to detail. The private beach is a 3 minutes walk... More

We love the Cottage Inn for it's rustic and comfortable cabins. They all have updated, modern baths and fireplaces. The breakfasts are substantial, yummy and made on site by the owner and staff. The evening wine and snack time is a great opportunity to meet and chat with people from all over. This is the only place we stay when... More

Spent one night here while attending Octoberfest at Richardson's Camp. Great location for walks and to see the lake. Room was okay. Staff very friendly. Nice breakfast, afternoon wine and food. Cost a bit up there. Each cottage room has its own layout - best to check in advance to be sure it meets your needs.

We booked a month out and on arrival discovered that highway in front of property was under construction from 4 PM to 8 AM ALL NIGHT, so we listened to jack hammers, concrete saws and construction equipment both nights. WHY DIDN'T OWNERS CONTACT US BEFORE WE CAME TO LET US KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON, SO WE COULD STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE??... More

Dear Guests, thank you for your review., and I am sorry you had a bad experience. Major parts of Highway 89 had construction this year with various locations. Unfortunately we did not have any influence as to dates or type of work performed every night so we could have told our guests However we did tell everyone checking in that... More

Fantastic situation with own lake side beach to share with neighbouring residences . Near to Fireplace café which is a great place to go for lunch. Can hire bikes from across the road and cycle up and down with bike paths a lot of the way- perfect way to spend a day. Had lovely stay - great room and wine... More

Tahoe tepee was a medium size room in a block of six with individual outside front doors. Room was cutely fitted out in wild west native indian style. Bed was smallish and bouncy. Bathroom and shower were small. No AC but the ceiling fan was fairly effective. Friendly staff, coffee available all day, wine and canapes between 5 & 7.... More

We have stayed here twice on our anniversary. It is always so warm and welcoming. They provided wine and cookies on our arrival. Our room had a fireplace and the cutest decor (each room having an original theme). They are located on the lake side of the road and it's a short walk to the beach. Each cabin is beautifully...
