I like to refer my family and friends to this place because its next door to my house but recently I had to stay there myself and was not totally happy with the price you pay for what you get. The towels were small and the rooms were old and dusty. The freeway will keep you up at night if... More

Well, we were exhausted after a five hour detour and opted to stay here. I am not sure what was worse, the Pepto Bismol "decorating" that is more Goodwill than Victorian charming or the dirtiness! It was very dusty, terribly dirty carpets, the bedspread had many "stains" and was nasty, as was the blanket. The sheets appeared to have been... More

I stayed one night here and I will never come back. The toilet didn't work. I was sick during the night and couldn't flush. The window didn't seal all the way so I heard the 101 freeway all night and a flock of crows starting at 4:30 AM even with earplugs in. Hoping for a nice warm shower in the... More

This Inn is well maintained with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The only distraction is the noise from the 101 highway. However the rooms are quiet and it is only while sitting on the patio that it is noisy. The breakfasts are well done and tasty and the afternoon wine and canapes plentiful. Thank you for a lovely stay..

After reading the reviews, we were hesitant to stay here but like the others, it was the last room available for the Fourth of July. We overpaid at $169plus tax. The place is worn and I would compare it to staying with your grandmother who never had the money to upgrade her home. The bathroom was very clean and had... More

Looks can be decieving. Cute cottage Inn ( on the outside) with great proximity to the state beach. one step in the room, and you instantly know something is very wrong. No basic cleaning rules are applied here. Ruuuuuuun!

The Summerland Inn was the only place available when we came to visit family for Christmas, and relatives had reserved a room for us for two nights. They had never been to the inn. If they had only known.... The outside is quaint and Victorian. Yet, when you open the front something in you tells you to turn around and... More

My family and I ended up in this inn for two nights whilst visiting family because there wasn't really anywhere else available. It looked cute from the outside, but once you enter the inn the smell of musty old furniture is overwhelming and everything is out dated and dirty. It honestly looks as though they found this house with all... More

Needed a room for the night last weekend. The area was pretty booked. Reserved this place for $160. $176 after tax. Get there... "meh, pretty kitch, next to the freeway, but... it's fine I guess." ... 20 minutes later, the 40lb mirror falls off the wall randomly (we were standing at the other side of the room). Turns out it... This place is okay if you're just there for a brief day or two, preferably an overnighter. Very few amenities and no elevator to the second floor. There's a coffee pot in the very small lobby. Reminds me more of a stay with family or a friends house. If you spook (ghosts) easily, this is probably not the place for... More
