The Bissell House Bed & Breakfast is a great place to base yourself when visiting LA. We had a wonderfully comfortable room and very nice breakfasts. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed sunning by the pool on an off day. Don't forget to rub Poodle behind the ears!

I accidentally made a double booking of two rooms for three nights... since I only needed one room, and the other room has been prepaid, the inn keeper, Julie, graciously gave me the option to use the other room on a latter date. I was supposed to come to California with my husband but due to last minute work related... More

Our recent stay at the Bissell House was nice - not because the place was a show-stopping stunner, but because the people were warm and kind, and it reminded me of grandma's house. If you're in So. Pasadena and are looking for a place to stay that has cozy charm - and great walking distance to shops on Mission St... More

Ever drive down Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena wondering what it's like to live in one of the grand houses you see lining the road? I did and that's why I love staying at The Bissell House. It's a beautiful, regal, late 19th c. house, maintained and operated with obvious love and care. This weekend was my third time to... More

We have stayed at the Bissell House twice when visiting family in the area. The inn-keepers have embraced the Victorian idea of "More is More", both in decor and in hospitality. They are truly anxious to make you comfortable and see that any preferences you express are met. The house is in a residential neighborhood but tea, coffee, water, cider,... More

Instead if staying again in a traditional hotel, my husband suggested we try a B&B. This was an old but well preserved home with a pool. Quaint, homey and service was good! Value was good for the money we paid for! Also met some nice people during breakfast. We would recommend and now will try other B&B's when we travel.

The Bissell House, the third to be built on Orange Grove in Pasadena, is a lovely old house with 7 large rooms, a library, living room with a piano, and dining room. There is an outside pool and patio area. It sits on a large corner property with adequate parking space. You are greeted with cookies and tea in the... More

Beautiful location and grounds. I only stayed one night as I was here on business. Don't pass this B&B up!!! I had the choice of a hotel as well. NO Thank you to the hotel!! A friend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Bissell House for 2 nights while we attended the Pasadena Flea Market. The house is spectacular. The furnishings and attention to detail make the experience remarkable. Our room was clean, comfortable and welcoming at the end of the day. The food was delicious!!

Historic building with well furnished rooms, friendly staff, pool and good parking. Unfortunately, I had to leave early in the morning and didn't get to enjoy breakfast service, other than the continental breakfast that they provide for those in my position.
