My husband and I just returned from a night away at Knowles Hill House. At the top of a hill, there are wonderful views of Sonora - we sat on the back porch and watched the sun set - it was breathtaking. Our room was just beautiful - as is the rest of the house. We stayed at the Knowles Hill House on our way to Yosemite in November. It is an incredibly beautiful home - lovingly restored and maintained with large open spaces and magnificent grounds. This is more of a country manor experience, definitely not the usual Victorian Inn one expects in this area. The Living Room is large, with a welcoming fire... more

My wife convinced me to stay at the Knowles Hill House while we traveled to Sonora to see Cats. First off, I was not expecting much....after all its Sonora....well I guess I haven't been to Sonora in awhile and its changed! We had a fabulous trip the B & B was so much more then I expected and so convenient... more

We had a really nice stay. The innkeepers were very friendly and the breakfast conversation was really enjoyable. Would highly recommend. more

We stayed at this place over the Thanksgiving holidays. The house is amazing (I loved all the wood..mahogany doors and such...really breathtaking) and the breakfasts were divine (candlelight breakfast....WOW...I felt spoiled!). more
