Ok, so The Gold Lodge is one of the cheapest places to stay in Sorona and its really not a terrible choice. The staff is really friendly except for the older lady who seems to be the manager, she stares at the customers and staff with exasperation-but never speaks. The maintenace guy and reception staff are really accomodating-locals with great... More

Many of the other reviews here are a bit to harsh, so with this contribution I would like to show another side of The Gold Lodge. The room we got had all the facilities you might need: microwave, fridge, a spacious sink area and cups, phone etc. The motel included a little breakfast and the lady at the front desk... More

From the outside this place looks nice, but don't let that fool you. Our room was old, dark and dirty. The curtains in the back of the room were a lightweight white cotton and about a foot short of the window ledge, so NO light was blocked. We ended up covering the window with an afgan from our car. The... More

Omg the WORST hotel I've ever been in. Just plain gross. Filthy, should have realized when at check in they went over a list of costs $10 for a towel etc. I said " you charge for towels, pillows ...?" "Oh no just if you get them real dirty" ugh do NOT stay here oh and only two rooms have... More

What a dump! Rooms are old and run down. No phone in room, no toilet paper, curtains falling off rod, no closet, shower full of mold, windows would not open, air conditioner so loud could not sleep. Dog poop all over back drive way. Bed spread so dirty and smelled. Lots more wrong but this is just a few of... More

To sleep its ok, air con very noisey and old, questionable effectivness. Bed was hard, suits me but not the wife. TV worked fine. Advertised wifi was non existent. Fridge freezer and microwave in the room, fridge not switched on though, so wouldn't be much good for a few hours or more. No towels for the shower. Get up early... More

This was a very bad experience. The bed didn't fit right on the frame so it sagged to the floor in the middle. It was VERY uncomfortable. The wi fi didn't work. they give you a code for it but then when you tell them you can get a connection they just say they don't have a good signal. The... More

Unless you want to feel like life hasn't moved on since the 1950's don't stay here. The room was dirty and very outdated. The fridge was broken, t,here was a hole in the carpet, and we had to ask for pillow cases. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and clean. There was air conditioning - an old very... So there is a new guy doing maintainence. Has his girlfriend also working, she is cambodian, speaks little English but she is working very hard. He is also on the go. Pool is filled but still under repair. They still are in need of more help, would be nice to see the place return like it was 8 years ago.... More

The dirtiest motel, grime all over, awefull expereince, run down and ready to close. I was worried for bugs, two outlets did not work, the linen was old, the staff was OK, but you would think they could clean, just not a place for family...great for street people, but not families. Not even my dog would sleep on the floor.
