Staying in the Bay Area this week and wanted to see Sonoma so we booked the Best Western for the night. I did not expect it to be so beautiful, quaint, and accommodating! ! We were able to eat there FREE continental breakfast (cereal, pancakes, eggs, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal), walk to Whole foods for a quick inexpensive lunch, and save... More

Overall an excellent experience. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area especially nice and private with good size pool, jacuzzi and even a steam room (what a bonus). Very good breakfast, although a bit a of hike to get there. If we are ever in the area again, this is where we will stay.

Yes, the hotel had a nice location, but the staff was stiff, cold and impersonal. We got a recommendation for a kid-friendly restaurant that was closed when we got there. They closed and cleaned the hot tub during pool hours on the only day we were there--and the pool was definitely not heated. Would not stay there again. For the... More

I recently stayed at this hotel and booked two rooms for one night. I was charged $419/room plus tax . Had I stayed at the luxurious Fairmont nearby I would have paid $350/night . The rooms were your basic roadside hotel room , fluorescent lighting , run down air conditioners , cheap bedding etc. I did complain about the rate... More

Everything you need is here: pool, exercise room, parking, free coffee. Not everything is terrific, but rooms are of a good size and the pool area is kept clean and attractive. Staff are getting more and more pleasant everywhere, but this young front of house staff stands out: perky and helpful. Breakfast is nothing special, but all the basics are... More

Nice hotel in a good location, easily walking distance to supermarket and downtown restaurants / bars. Very friendly staff recommended some places for us to go and all were good. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, ate at the restaurant across the street which was good. Our room was quite large with a fireplace, well maintained and with a comfortable... More

We found this BW to be perfectly adequate for a couple of nights but nothing special. The pool was great and room size large. That said, the room was very, very dark even with all the windows open and decor clearly rather worn. The rate we received was by no means cheap and I did expect a bit more. It... More

Hello Ajh999, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are a green hotel and our light bulbs are energy efficient, they take some time to warm up and get bright. We are looking into different light bulb options. We are currently in the process of major renovations here, which include: replacing the carpets in all guest... More

Stayed for a week for a mother and daughters get away. The room was clean . New mattress in room that was great! Lovely courtyard with a pool and hot tub that was enjoyed everyday. The free breakfast was ok, but we skipped it a couple of the days. Really like that you are only 2 blocks from the square... More

This is the second time I've been to Sonoma. The first time we stayed at the Marriott which was 2 miles from the square. The Best Western was very close to the square and even included a continental breakfast. It isn't a fancy place but it is clean, has a pool and is comfortable. I've never paid $400 a night... More

This is probably the best hotel in the Sonoma area if you are looking for reasonable prices (difficult in the California area!), clean rooms with a nice balcony, hot tub, pool and a free breakfast. They even have a fit pit and nice garden area to relax after a day of wine tasting. The staff is very nice and accommodating.... More
