For our very first trip to Sonoma my fiancée and I decided to stay here and were very disappointed with the amount of money we spent. The innkeeper was pleasant enough when we first checked in but the experience went downhill from there... The proximity to the Sonoma downtown square was the best part of staying here. We were only... more

I also wish we would have read the reviews. We stayed for 3 nights. One was on a gift certificate we had been given a few years ago for our wedding. The other 2 nights we paid $300.00 per night. We had friends who stayed in the close by Best Western and their room was 3 times nicer but 1/3... more

We stayed at the Thistledew in October which is prime season for wine country tourists. That said, I cannot recommend the Thistledew as I feel that it is a poor value for the area. We are seasoned Wine Country travelers, visiting the area every couple of years to tour ,taste and repenish our cellars. We always try to stay at... more

This isn't the Four Seasons, but the accomodations were nice and clean. Yes as the others mentioned the inn keeper wasn't very talkative, but this was our vacation not hers. The breakfast was great. Expect pancakes or something similar. Enjoyed the hot tub and the free wine tasting card. more

The Thistle Dew doesn't look like much from the street...until you spend the night. It's VERY clean and comfortable, and very well maintained. Breakfasts are wonderful. The innkeeper (Jan) is a very low key person, but very helpful if you need advice. Our room was very spacious by today's standards, and we were not bothered by outside noise. I would... more

I sure wish that I would have read the reviews on this bed & breakfast before going there. It was overpriced for what you got. The room was just o.k. and the breakfast was very skimpy. The innkeeper seemed like she hated her job and was not very pleasant. I have been to quite a few bed and breakfasts, and... more

We spent several nights there and for the most part were quite pleased. They tend to serve carb/sugar loaded large breakfasts, though, that we are not fans of. We like lighter fare but may be in the minority, although there do not seem to be a lot of overweight people in CA. as compared to the midwest. Bikes could use... more

I stayed here 2 nights and was a wonderful experience. I found the Inn keeper and the cook very hospitable and warm. The breakfast is a real treat. The rooms are tastefully decorated and ours had a huge jacuzzi. The gardens are beautiful and it iso close to the town square and many wineries. I would highly recommend this charming... more

We had a very comfortable room, with fireplace, own hot tub outside, and a verandah. The B&B offers free bikes, and a card that gives free wine tasting at quite a few local vineyards. The excellent location right in the centre of Sonoma downtown means that the vineyards are easy to reach by bike (a thought with tough drink drive... more

We had stayed here for our honeymoon 10 years ago - and went back for our 10th anniversary. The inn keepers had changed over the course of time and the new inn keepers were not very friendly or helpful nor did they care that we were returning for our anniversary. The food was mostly uninspiring - my husband and I... more
