Yes, it was over $300/night (after taxes) but it's in a great location, just a mile from Sonoma town square. Even though it's on the main road, the grounds are lovely and the fountain masks the road noise. Room was comfortably large (but dark) with comfy couch and lounger and the lanai overlooking garden courtyard was very relaxing. Bed was... More

This inn is a modernized version of an older motor inn. The grounds are beautiful with gardens and fountains as well as a lovely landscaped pool. Rooms are adequate with comfy beds. For the obey this is a great choice fir Sonoma place to stay. While a bit of a walk, if you are able - you can walk to... More

The hotel is a short distance from the plaza. We got around mostly by walking and we also took a very short cab ride to get to all the restaurants and tasting rooms that surround the plaza. Our room overlooked a pretty courtyard. The pool and hot tub were open late and were clean and well-maintained. Overall, this hotel is... More

Very cool, rustic, but recently renovated rooms. We got in later than expected due to airline woes (i.e., delays) so opted for the recommended closer option for dining rather than walking to Sonoma Plaza and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at Breakaway Cafe. We also liked the courtyard for meeting with our other travelers for wine before dinner and... More

Very clean spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast and a lovely pool area. We did think it was in a "calmer" area but it didn't matter once we checked in. I am a runner and was happy to see once I got past the stores I was in an adorable area perfect for running. The food at the local restaurants were delectable!

A 15 minute pleasant walk to the plaza where there are great restaurants and wine tastings. Room ( Sonoma queen) was excellent value with coffee maker bad views over the beautiful small courtyard - I could only find a ceiling fan but that didn't matter as room was cool even with weather in the 80's - a great swimming pool... I've traveled all over and this is one of my favorite hotels! I hope it never changes. I've stayed there twice and both times everything was excellent! I cannot say enough good things about El Pueblo!

Excellent location (only a very small walk to Sonoma centre), superb breakfast (European style with healthy choices as well), comfortable and clean rooms in a relaxing environment (beautiful garden and swimming pool). This all supported by very friendly staff.

Stayed here with my husband and baby for one night. The rooms are basic, but very clean. Nice relaxing pool area and garden. Good location about a mile away from the main square in Sonoma, and a decent price for this location, compared with other hotels in the area. Would stay here again.

Nothing to get too excited about but all of your requisite needs met. Impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom, especially. We had ample space, comfortable bed and staff were most pleasant. The continental breakfast seemed ok although we skipped it, just grabbing coffee.
