After getting the "rejuvenation package," we thought $849 would be expensive, but worth it. Wrong! The spa pedicures that were valued at $165 each were simply the same pedicure you get for $25 at the local nail shop. Our room had no privacy, although it was an upgrade. We had to keep the shutters closed the entire time, unless we... More

I read that on a listing for this hotel.but i added "peaceful".Yes it is california "old". Our room overlooked the front patio and was very quiet yet allowed a gentle breeze to enter it. This hotel is historic perhaps I would have expected a more elaborate approach but things have moved into the area that you can't change ie the... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly. We attended the wine and cheese tasting after experiencing the Roman Bathing Ritual in our robes! We were not alone in our silliness, most unusual fun with strangers! The local cheese varieties were delicious! The grounds were amazing. Peaceful, romantic and relaxing. The mini burlap bags full... We live in San Francisco and were looking for a last-minute escape from town. The hotel was fine - but just not up to the standards of a Fairmont property. It's an historic property, almost 100 years old. It has charm and old California appeal. However, little things needed to be fixed/cleaned/repaired/updated…and I understand our room was recently updated. The... More

I went there with mixed feelings after reading some of the more recent negative reviews – what a pleasant surprise The hotel was excellent and the staff amongst the best I have met in the states and on par with a good European Hotel We had a refurbished room which had an elegant décor, excellent beds etc (towels and robes... This is a charming hotel and it is a Fairmont after all but that may be why it was disappointing. It's off in a strange town, quiet and a bit dull. Restaurant Sante staff (the women) were miserable and very unhelpful although the young manager (?) tried to make up for his hostesses snarly attitude (we'd asked for Pizzas at... More

Dear rimavh, Thank you for choosing our resort and for your review. I was glad to read that Todd was so charming and helpful, but very sorry that you did not receive better service from some of the women on our team. Please rest assured that we appreciate your feedback and will use it to follow up with the team... More

Room was very small and not updated. The cost was extremely high for not very luxurious accommodations. Hotel was dated and resort small. We had a very loud air conditioning unit, a strange odor in our room and loud outside noises. Located outside of the town of Sonoma

Though pricey, it's a wonderful hotel with many amenities and well located. This was my second stay there and I will probably come back again in the far future. Make sure to eat at their restaurants and eat the lemon pancakes at Big 3 for breakfast and Sante was also wonderful.

This was the second time my husband I stayed at the Mission Inn in Sonoma. Fortunately, they have renovated the older rooms in a charming decor since our last visit.. The staff is friendly and accomodating. It is quiet and rest is easy to come by. The food is very good-fresh and local. The yoga lady, Leslie?, is the best... More

I would recommend finding another hotel in Sonoma or Napa. The $600/night price does not come close to the experience. Although historic and close to downtown Sonoma, the place is very worn. One can do much better elsewhere. This is more like a $150 hotel.
