We recently spent four nights at this hotel and certainly would not stay here again. We expected significantly more at this price point Here is what $400+ dollars a night will get you at this hotel: Noise -We had a ground floor room and the noise from surrounding units was significant. The hotel is a stone's throw from Route 12... more

I was very disappointed in this hotel. The age is really showing despite a 62million dollar renovation. Our room was in the heritage section which translated into old and dirty carpet, dingy hallways and an odor. Our room especially smelled like wood smoke and old clothing. Also, cracked tile around the pools, broken fountains and poor service at the spa... more

My wife and I just stayed 5 nights at the Mission Inn and Spa to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were very impressed by the facilities (and we should be for the price) . . . but that pretty much ended there. Here are the issues: Identity Crisis - the Fairmont marketing people would have you believe... more

This hotel is beautiful and we had a misson suite, which was wonderful. Stll, the room was not ready when we checked in and we had to wait. The snooty sommelier in the restaurant made us feel inadequate when we didn't want to order the wine he suggested. The front desk clerks were aloof and did not fully/could not fully... more

My mother and I went to the Sonoma Mission Inn for a two day girls Spa Trip. Since we went mid-week, we got a great rate. Everything at the hotel was excellent from the moment we walked in. The receptionist upgraded us to the next level room, which was just a touch bigger but had a working fireplace which we... more

We stayed at the Fairmont Sonoma for 3 nights in June. Check in was a nightmare! We arrived about 2pm and were told our room was not ready but should be ready by 3:00. So we head out to the pool for a drink to wait. At 3:20, we check on the room again. Nope, room is still not cleaned.... more

Three girlfriends in need of a Spa Getaway. We chose FMI because of the location in Sonoma. Enjoyed the personalized service, the casual atmosphere, and of course all of the treatments. Each morning at 8 am we set out with 2 of the greatest guides, Sally and Howard , on different hikes around Sonoma. These hikes are free and you... more

Above average, but doesn't quite make the mark for leaving an indelible impression as a luxury destination. The property is unique and casually elegant, but the hallways are more expansive than the rooms and it's a bit on the dark, old-looking side. If your preference is modern and energetic appearance, this isn't your destination. If it's a place that would... more

Beautiful hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely get a spa treatment and take advantage of the bathing ritual. We had a wonderful dinner at Glen Ellen Inn! Rooms can be pricey during peak season, but well worth the experience. more

I stayed there with my wife for several days. The place is extremely comfortable, the rooms are very large and nicely furnished. They offer great massage packages, facials, etc. Overall -- very comfortable high-class place. Great for weekend retreat with your significant other. It is a bit expensive, but worth the money. more
