I traveled to Sonoma and Napa with my husband and his parents, and we stayed at this resort for our weekend getaway to Wine Country. Our room in a cottage featured a large tub, an open layout, a comfy bed, and a gas fireplace. My in-laws were upgraded to a gorgeous suite in the main building -- dining room, fireplace,... More

Everyone goes to Napa ... but it's little sister is Sonoma. Close-by to Napa, but not as busy. The Lodge at Sonoma was the choice for our Committee Retreat, so most of our activities were on sight. I stayed in one of the cottages, which was very roomy, with the nice amenities of a fireplace and large tub/shower. Although I... More

I stayed here because of points rewards, and I was pleasantly surprised with the location and amenities. It is located 1.5 miles from the square and they have a shuttle bus that runs constantly to the city square to pick up and drop off for dinner, ect.. We ate in the square 3 nights and the shuttle driver was always... More

We stayed at The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort and Spa with two other couples for our 30th anniversary. The lodge is located across from a hardware store and within bicycling distance to downtown Sonoma and a short drive to multiple vineyards. You will pay an extra fee for bike rental. The property include free yoga in the morning and... More

Many positives, but this is an older property in a strange location trying to be more than it is. It is not really a lodge, the cottages are mostly just upgraded hotel rooms, it has a nice pool, but is not really a resort, it is located on the main drag across the street from a children's RR train amusement... While this was a perfect place for my husband and I to relax, it is also perfect for a girls weekend. The shuttle service into town makes wine tasting much more fun. The employees are so attentive and want to make certain that your experience is the best ever. The SPA is a MUST have. Even if you only get... More

Very nice, clean, convemient, excellent staffing. Really enjoyed the cottage atmosphere. Showers small and water soft. Loved the gas fireplace and private patio use. Wine tastings fun. Concierge very helpful . Great to have van transport to Sonoma square instead of walking or driving. Enjoyed the breakfasts, the lobby use, the pool patio with its heaters. Overall, a delightful place... More

This hotel worked out great for us. The "cottage" was fantastic. We had a very spacious room with a living area and fireplace. The shower and toilet area were a little small. There was a window in the room with the shower which was great to refresh the room. The location was convenient to the winery's and there was a... More

Pretty nice facility at a convenient location. The only negative points are: soft water (cannot tell if I am getting clean when I take a shower, and an occasional bad smell from the farm land near by (depending on the wind condition). The restaurant is very good and so is the wine bar/cafe.

Let me begin by saying that if you read the rest of my reviews, you will see that I rarely write a negative one...I understand that hotel staff are just cogs in the wheel..everyone is following a protocol that has been set by the corporate machine and no one has the ability to make a decision on behalf of a...
