My husband and I spent 3 nights at this wonderful resort. It is a great base to explore Sonoma & Napa. You can walk to the centre of Sonoma (about 1 mile) or the hotel operate a free shuttle bus service from 8am to 10.45pm so it's great for going to the local restaurants. From the moment we arrived the... More

Had a great stay at the Lodge recently. I highly recommend the cottage rooms, with a nice little patio, fireplace, etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bar and restaurant had good food and friendly staff, as well. The hot tub and pool is nice, and the grounds beautiful and full of roses. The shuttle to Sonoma plaza... More

First impression wasn't great (we arrived very late due to detours from the forest fires). After check in, there was no one to help us navigate the dark outdoor paths in the rain to find our room. Once we hauled our luggage up the stairs, we were settled and decided to start fresh the next day. Things improved from day... More

Nice sized room, very clean. Nice pool area with out door seating. walking distance, one mile, to the center of town. Shuttle service is offered into town every 20 min or so, or you can call reception and they will send the van sooner. Shuttle service stops at 11pm. One restaurant with a large bar, had lunch and breakfast there,... More

We stayed here while visiting some wineries in Sonoma. The free shuttle bus was great. However there seemed to be poor communication between the reception and the driver. We were delayed twice as a result but it didn't impact us too much. The facilities and decor is exactly what their website says, a plush luxurious feel to the place. We... More

Stayed at the Lodge at Sonoma for just a couple of days around mid-April 2015 and had a fantastic time. We checked in on Sunday afternoon which was perfect as families with kids had checked out by then. We had a lovely room (238) overlooking the pool. I took a short vacation before starting a new job and trekked all... More

The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa is one of those properties that you never forget. The staff is genuinely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. As status holding Marriott Rewards member, I expect my status to be recognized by the property, which is was as soon as I gave them my name. The room was absolutely amazing! The most exclusive... A delightful property offering pampering and great service. Walking distance to restaurants and wine tastings - if you feel you must eat off property. Short drive or cycle ride to a host of great boutique wineries. Cottages offer a little more privacy than rooms in the main building but all rooms are spacious and tasteful.

The Lodge at Sonoma is very nice with all of it's Spa type amenities but for people that do not use the amenities paying a Resort Fee is ridiculous. The building are Old construction from the 60s and the rooms have comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and accomodating and their Restaurant is very good.

This was our second stay and it was much less enjoyable. Too crowded for my taste. It didn't have the homey, quiet peaceful feel we experienced before. We did get a last minute room and were able to use our Marriott points! The concierge, Tammy, gave us the best tips and advice for riding around Napa on the bikes we... More
