We spent my wife's 40th birthday weekend here, and cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience! The property is truly amazing, with everything you need right on site. Glorious rooms and one of the best restaurants in Sonoma right there. To cap it all off, the concierge, Nancy Boerum, planned a weekend of private wine tours, dinner reservations and... More

The rooms, service, included breakfast buffet were all excellent, but the highlight is the fantastic beauty of the grounds. We stayed for 3 nights with a group of college friends, and could not have found a better place to meet and socialize. The evening free wine and hors devours hour in the library was a real hit. It is also... More

This is a large property with about a dozen or so buildings that have been built as large houses with porches, etc. Each building contrains several rooms. It was a bit tricky the first time navigating ourselves to our room, but that was a minor issue. The grounds are gorgeous. The staff was particularly helpful. The receptionist spent 20 minutes... We checked in and the front desk was kind enough to upgrade us to one of the cottages for our overnight stay. We walked into Cottage 12: The Garden Cottage. The room is adorable. All the amenities one would need are there from the Keurig coffee maker to an abundance of toiletries that smell amazing! We took off for a... More

I'm in the travel industry and have always had the best feedback from travelers whom I've placed at MacArthur Place. The compund is quite densely built, but due to the lush landscaping and small footpaths, a feeling of privacy is achieved. Wine hour was pleasant and informative. The M. P. body lotion(more like a mousse-thick and redolent of herbs) was... More

A lovely hotel with very comfortable beds. Nice to be open windows for fresh air. The reception staff were very helpful in finding placed to eat for lunch. Hotel is located walking distance from the historic Sonoma town square. But this is a great central location to explore both Sonoma and Napa.

We found this to be the perfect spot from which to visit the vineyards of Sonoma. The grounds were lovely with many different seating areas and gardens, the accommodations very nice, the service excellent. The staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. While the Inn was fully booked while we were there, it did not feel crowded. It was a... More

MacArthur Place has been and continues to be an AMAZING place to stay in Sonoma. The attention to detail goes above and beyond my expectations every time I stay there. It's my #1 choice when I am in Sonoma. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are gorgeous and well maintained, the fireplaces in each room make for such a cozy... More

Birthday getaway for two nights three days in Sonoma, first time at MacArthur Place. What attracted me to this resort was the walking distance location to the plaza, the pool and grounds, the nice rooms, and the spa. There is so much more to love about MacArthur Place---just one of them is that you actually save money by staying here!... More

Only stayed here for one night but was very pleasant. Room was large and fairly clean. Wifi was fairly fast. Relatively quiet. Wine hour was fairly simple but a nice touch. Garden area was small but nice to walk around in. Continental breakfast had a nice assortment of pastries, fresh fruit, and (upon request) fresh squeezed orange juice. Can walk... More
