This charming cottage sits a block from the historic Sonoma plaza--perfect for walking into the square for shopping, dinner, or wine tastings. Not only is the location superb, but the owners, Cathie and Gene, have taken hospitality to a higher level than I've seen in ages. From breakfast choices and a refrigerator stocked with drinks to any laundry detergent and... More

Cathie and Gene really thought of everything! this super cute little cottage has every comfort from home you could want, even a washer and dryer! The suggestion book they leave out with hints on the best places in town to eat and the best wineries to visit was invaluable! The place was gorgeus, so close to everything (within walkig distance)... More

Just got back from a 2 night stay at Alexandra's Plaza Suite. We've stayed at various other high end hotels/cottages in Sonoma and have finally found "our fave". Very comfortable, very clean private cottage tucked behind homes on upscale, quiet Second St in downtown. It's a 2 minute stroll to the square. The cottage has excellent amenities, and the little... This was a wonderful, comfortable cottage to stay at. The location was excellent (very easy walking distance to the square), numerous wineries within easy driving distance, and Cathie and Gene are the best hosts ever. Their recommendations were spot on--the Depot Hotel for dinner was amazing--food, service, and ambiance. The Benzinger winery was also lovely and the wines were divine.... More

You will be hard pressed to find accomodations in Sonoma for under $200/ night that are as good as these. It is actually a small cottage in back of other houses and is very quiet though convenient to the plaza. The hosts are great...just wish we could have spent more time with them, but we were gone all day for... More

Gene and Cathie werr amazing hosts. They provided me with perfect tips on which wineries to visit in the area, as well as other things... More

This was our home for our three night stay in September and it exceeded all expectations. It is in a lovely neighborhood around which you could take early morning or evening walks. The pretty little patio filled with potted plants was perfect for enjoying our coffee and the fresh pastries we bought every morning along with the newspaper - just... More

This place is lovely, clean, refreshing.l My husband and I stayed there recently and were delighted to find such a welcoming and delightful place for the brief respite which we needed. Throughout our long weekend there I kept thinking about how nice it was, and how it might be described in a single word. These words came to mind: tasteful,... More

Our stay was limited to a couple hours, but it was sufficient time to appreciate the kindness of the hosts. The place is spotless and very comfortable. They recommended us very good breakfast and dinner spots. We had the pleasure to share a glass of wine with Mr. Sperring who is a home winemaker and an excellent one! He briefly... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the charming cottage and just loved it. Gene and Cathie are so considerate. The refrigerator was stocked, the suggestions for restaurants and wineries were terrific and the location was perfect. The reviews were right - this was truly a special place!
