My daughter and I stayed here for one night while visiting wine country. It is a beautiful little inn with charming decorations. And is right next to Roche winery - one of my new faves. There isn't an elevator, so you will have to carry your own luggage up the stairs to your room. The free breakfast consisted of danish... More

The Sonoma Hotel is a charming hotel right on the square and steps to all local shops, restaurants and wine-tasting shops. It is 3 stories, with no elevator, so if your room is on floor 3, it is a chore getting your luggage to your room. Also, weekend evenings, the noise on the main st. facing rooms can be a... More

Just returned from a 1 night stay at the Sonoma Hotel, decided to take a post Xmas trip to Sonoma and felt lucky to find still a vacancy at 3:30pm. The room on 3rd floor was fine to walk up, at the top of stairs, with great views of surroundings, oversaw the patio restaurant. The room was clean, comfortable, with... More

This was a beautiful historic hotel, and it has its quirkyness because of that. The floors creek a little as any historic hotel should! But, we loved our stay here. We loved the rustic decor and the original wood throughout the hotel. If you want high end and can't handle the older hotels, this is probably not for you. If... More

I booked a room months in advance as a part of a wedding party. Big mistake. I had to schlep two floors (I was on the 3rd floor, no elevators) to get to my "room" and when I opened the door the room was so tiny I couldn't even turn around with my luggage in my hands! No sink in... More

My fiancé and I stayed here for a wedding. I love that the hotel wa close to the square and near some awesome tatsting rooms and restaurants. Morning coffee and pastries are great at they have a wine happy hour from 5-6. Staff was very very helpful. However, it's small and older. The acoustics are terrible. Great place to stay... More

My wife and I stayed here last night after a day of wine tasting and a ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train. We were late arrivals (arrived about 11:00 P.M.) just knackered. Quick, no nonsense check in by the lady at the desk and up the stairs we went. Had a room on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately, no elevator,... More

My sister and I concluded our road trip through wine country yesterday. Our last two nights were spent at the Sonoma Hotel. We really had a great time! I loved the fact that we stayed in a historic building because it had so much character! And, we were allowed to bring the coffee and pastries offered every morning to our... More

The location is fabulous-- right on Sonoma Square. It's very quaint, however the rooms are small and the facilities are outdated. There is no elevator. We had to pay extra to have a third person in our hotel room, and even the largest room in the hotel was very crowded for the three of us-- and we're New Yorkers, so... More
