we stayed only one night on our trip route 1 and enjoyed. Location was perfect.Walking distance to shops, restaurants and wine tasting. Owners nicely welcomed us. Parking was easy.We parked our car infront of our room. We stayed in Garden Room.A bit small but nicely decorated, has old times feel. Room has back door to the lovely garden. The receptionist over the phone was extremely rude! I was looking to book a room during Mother's day weekend for the Santa Barbara Wine Marathon. She told me there were two rooms left and that they were King suites. I was in a bit of the dilemma since I would also need to fit my 5 and 7 year old... More

I stayed here on a recent wine tasting getaway with 2 friends. We stayed in Room 19 -which has 2 queen beds. You can tell that the property has been around for a while, but it is well kept and we thought it was charming. The staff that we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom was recently remodeled... More

My wife and I were looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay at midweek, while in Solvang. The hotel (more correctly, a motel) had a high rating, so we figured it was worth a try. We stayed there for a couple of nights. It's an older motel that's been well maintained and has a nice courtyard and shared cottage, where... More

My wife and I celebrate our 3rd engagment anniversary in this beatiful city and the hotel was excellent. Romantic, cozy, stylish. Loved the treatment, the managment was so nice and friendly. They accomodated all our necessity. Great place. The room was very clean. The fireplace made the ambient really romantic and warm. More

We stayed in Solvang Gardens in August for 3 days. The Lodge is located just steps from all of the shops and restaurants in Solvang without any of the noise associated with a main drag. The gardens were lovely and the perfect place to try the bottle of wine you purchased earlier in the day or just take in the... More

We just spent 3 lovely days at Solvang gardens. We were there for a friends party and spent our days wine tasting. The English garden in the back was perfect for sitting around with a picnic and de-escalating. Whole town is spendy, so be prepared to pay for what you are getting. More

I was born i Denmark and currently live a few hours from Solvang. My wife and I operate an online travel site and put on wine cruises for Lucas & Lewellen Wineries, a local winery in Solvang, so we go up to Solvang often. Well, this time we decided to give The Solvang Gardens Lodge a try and what a... More

We stayed at Solvang Gardens late in August for three nights. The rooms are well appointed. The gardens are lovely. The people who we met could not have been nicer, more helpful or better hosts. It is all personal and personable. Breakfast is delightful. We ventured one day to wineries taking a picnic along. Although the wineries were interesting and... More
