Our family made our first visit to America's newest national park and the closest town near the Western entrance to the park is Soledad, CA. The Valley Harvest Inn is located near the freeway and also near a newer shopping center with restaurants and a CVS and market to stock up on supplies for Pinnacles. The motel is very basic,... I have zoomed past Soledad a gazillion times with never a thought of staying there. I have also promised myself to visit Pinnacles National Park a gazillion times. At last, I squeezed a weekend visit to the park, and booked a pet friendly room at Soledad's Valley Harvest Inn. Kudos to a friendly motel staff. The room was clean, but... More

I've stayed here three years in a row, for 1-2 nights, for a school event in a nearby city. I'm only in the room for about 6-7 hours and just need a place to shower and get a few hours of sleep. This place is fine for that. It's decently clean, showers are good and hot, room is quiet and... More

This motel is nothing special but convenient for visiting Pinnacles. the bed was quite uncomfortable and the bed head jutted out making it uncomfortable to sit to watch t.v. the hot tub was good although it isn't switched on until 2.30 so no use if you want to use it earlier or in the morning. The breakfast room is an... More

Soledad is the closest city to Pinnacles National Park, and the Valley Harvest Inn is one of two places to stay in Soledad. It also is more expensive than its Motel 8 competitor, but still a relatively inexpensive property. We had a rather small room with one queen size bed. Though the decor was a bit dated, it was well... More

I must say first and foremost that the staff was nice - but I still had a terrible problem with being billed for a room three times. I arrived at the hotel and they said I had already checked in. After convincing the clerk that this was not possible, she gave me another room. But upon entering my room, i... More

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The air conditioner and heater both worked effectively. Beds were comfortable and the continental breakfast was adequate. The wifi worked well without needing a password. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

We met family from Santa Barbara about half way to go wine tasting in the area (which was surprisingly good and very diverse). When we arrived to check into our rooms (we'd been joking all day about staying in Soledad), not only was the hotel sold out, there were people in the lobby on their mobile devices struggling to find... Hello, Thank you for taking the time out to write a review, we really appreciate it! We apologize for having an outdated appearance but it is something we're striving to improve; we've been updating little by little with new mattresses and newer bedding and linen coming in the future! As hard as it may be to believe, our little hotel... More

A very clean, simple room for a very reasonable price. It is about 30 minutes from Pinnacles west entrance visitors center so quite close - nothing really closer. Breakfast is simple with bread, cereals & a few other items. Service is very friendly & helpful. They are located right off the highway. Free wifi is helpful. Lots of channels with... More

Yes, and there are only two motels in Soledad, last time I checked. This one is more expensive and, during my single visit, featured a distinctly unfriendly reception clerk and a room right next to where they do their laundry. Which, I should add, they start very, very early. Woke me up before my 545am alarm.
