This property is accessed by driving a few feet past the California agricultural inspection station. The only sign is a wooden faded sombrero. There is no need to advertise since their clientele is very loyal. If don't care for the ocean, walking on the beach, watching the occasional surfer or passing whale pod....you can easily get lost admiring the beautiful... More

We come over from the inland valley 3-4 times a year and always book the Studio so our K9 "critters" can enjoy the stay, too. From the floral gardens to the private trail right out our door to the beach this is our must stay getaway. Clean, fully stocked, gorgeous surroundings and so serene we find it a little slice... This is our fourth visit here and each one becomes more precious. The accommodations are clean, modern and every convenience is available. The ocean view, crashing of the waves on the shore is relaxing and hypnotic. A long walk on the beach that gently meanders to the waters edge is a treat. This is a must stay at vacation wonder.... This is very nice place to stay. The view from our garden room was marvelous. You can see and hear the waves breaking just 50 yards away. A short walk through a well planted and tended yard to the beach. Our room was the only pet friendly room at Casa Rubio. It is a large one room studio on the... More

I took a solo trip and stayed in the nest for three nights. Loved it! Quaint, away from traffic noise even though it is perfectly situated on 101. Have to be ok with driving to town for meals but that was fine for m. Easy access to explore various hiking north and south on 101. Highly recommend.

This was so good we are going back in a few weeks! You can walk to the ocean any time following a short trail. The full kitchen was wonderful to have and all the windows gave an open feeling that just made you want to take another walk! We are taking our dog next time and can not wait to... More

There were vacancies in both the Cabin and the Suite. I had a choice and chose the suite for its straight-on ocean view from the wall-to-wall front window. The Cabin will wait; that will be my choice for a romantic episode as it is cozier with a small fireplace and ocean view from the Queen bed. The King bed in... More

We spent 4 days at Casa Rubio in the late Spring. The accommodations were wonderful, the customer service was superior and the property was more than we could have hoped for. The people who run Casa Rubio go out of their way to make you feel welcome and yet manage to stay completely "behind the scenes" unless you need something.... More

Casa Rubio was such a delightful surprise. We visited in early spring when the gardens were just coming to life. The grounds are stunning! We had an incredible ocean view with a well maintained path to the beach right outside our front door. Our newly-renovated room included a fully stocked kitchen, full dining table, sitting area with TV, desk and... More

It is so rare to find a place where the view from the room exceeds expectations!!! We stayed in The Suite which is spacious and has all the comforts of home including a very comfy bed. Hank took the time to help us with the perfect restaurant choice. A fabulous place to stay.
