The managers and yes they have staff that stay on property but everyone was very presently comforting... There property was so home like feeling after our week stay it was worth every penny we spent:)... Ocean view meaning don't expect the ocean to be on your lap but its in eyes view and it gets better as you venture down... More

This small hotel is a jewel! If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat without interruption, this is it! The grounds are lovely - flowers everywhere and the seclusion of a private oceanfront view. This being my first visit, I was told it is under new management, but the same owners. The managers were most helpful and friendly,... More

If you don't care about hotel amenities (bring your own shampoo, hair dryer etc.) or sophisticated decor and don't mind making your own bed but want a secluded, simple, quiet time at the beach, this hotel is perfect. The grounds have gorgeous flower beds and a long lawn leading to the ocean with several lounge chairs at the edge of... More

So happy we stumbled onto this place! Older but comfortable and new managers that certainly aim to please! Small, (7 units) Private,(3 1/2 miles of private beach). 5 view rooms to choose from, 3 pet friendly, beautiful grounds just yards from the beach for everyone! This is really an Oregon coast jewel! PRIVATE, piece of paradise! Really not sure if... More

Ive been staying at places up and down the Oregon/ CA coast and this is one of the best values in its price range here's why: •ocean view&onsite beach access • clean • friendly staff •pets welcome •huge rooms (its like big studio apt/ beach condo but way cheaper...you can easily sleep 4... For years, my husband and I have vacationed at the Sea Escape due to their close-by beach and kitchenette suites. Apparently, the ownership changed hands and the place went in the toilet. We had made reservations for Spring Break to stay with our three children. When I called to confirm our reservation, no one answered or returned our calls for... More

Located right on the major highway, with the constant roar of traffic overwhelming the gentle sound of the ocean, left me wanting to sea escape! While walking besides the neighbors houses, porches, I found a rickety set of stairs down to a beach lined with houses. Some escape! Felt like I was walking thru a neighborhood and not the beach.... My husband and I stumbled upon this place 15 years ago, when we had made reservations at one of the exclusive places to stay in the area and they let us down. We have never went anywhere else since. Treated with respect and hospitality, Alex and Wendy, the managers then always made our stay very private which was the most... More

If you want a good night's sleep, don't stay here!! Right on the 101, it's like trying to sleep next to the Indy 500 racetrack. The noisiest place we have ever stayed! As if the highway noise wasn't enough, the owners and friends talked far into the night on their patio just below our unit. Then, more discomfort! I was... More

Really liked this place, A small ocean side motel that offers everything you need. Located in-between Brookings/Harbor, OR and Crescent City, CA. It is a short drive to either for shopping or dinning out. We stayed in the "suite" ; bedroom with two queen beds, separate living room, dinning area and kitchenette, with microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, refrigerator and sink.... More
