My partner and I stayed in a cabin for two night during the winter time. The price was very affordable and we had everything we needed. This awesome rustic get away was perfect for the two of us and we were a perfect drive away from Sierraville Hot Springs Resort. I love the woodsy feel of this location, that it... More

If you like rustic log cabins in a beautiful setting, then this is the place. There are cabins to fit most families. Even though "Resort" appears in their name, don't expect a lot of luxury and definitely no golf course or swimming pool or room service . We have stayed here twice in the Fall and the weather was chilly... More

This is a rustic inn with several small cabins. We stayed in what appeared to be one of the older cabins with vertical logs and a creek side deck. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The manager was very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is "laid back" with NO cell service (AT&T), no TV, no WIFI... Lots of great books... More

Canyon Ranch is an intrigue to me! The location and setting is quiet, peaceful, and nearly everything one would envision in a rustic mountain cabin experience. And I put an emphasis on the word "nearly". Having owned a rustic mountain vacation property in Colorado, I have a bit of experience in hosting vacationers looking for that woodsy, natural, earthy experience.... More

We came up for the 4th of July weekend and chose this place because of some of the reviews. It was even better than we could have imagined. Very clean, cute and rustic. The river running thru and behind the cabins is so refreshing and the smell of pine trees there is just wonderful. It is very quiet and relaxing.... More

Sierraville is a very quiet town. This is an underestimation, as if you blink you will miss it. We did not expect much in the way of accommodations, but read a few positive comments online regarding the Canyon Ranch Resort when looking for places to stay between Portola and Truckee. The resort is a compound of sorts, with a variety... More

We wanted a peaceful get-a-way for the Christmas holiday. The woodsmoke cabin was perfect. My husband, me, and 3 boys (10,12,13) all had a great time. Brought the little dogs too. Our cabin was private, on the creek, covered in snow, warm and comfy with a full kitchen. The hosts are friendly and we felt very welcome. ***Tip for those... More

We were taking a kid up to drop off at summer camp. Yes, we're going back soon when we pick him up. I sat on the cabin porch and decompressed completely while the wife and kids played games and cards inside. Cute, rustic, very clean small cabins. Spotless bathrooms. Ridiculously clean. Gurgling mountain stream just behind (I did go in... More

Rustic log cabins dot a large property divided by a creek. The sound of the water will lull you to sleep at night. Full kitchens in each cabin allow you to cook; 2 restaurants in town as well. Beautiful setting, gracious owners make you feel very welcome.
