My husband and I stayed one night while visiting relatives in the area. The cabin was adorable. Very nicely decorated which was unexpected. It has been completely renovated but still maintains a charm. The bed was excellent, there is a small but well appointed kitchenette. There is a couple of chairs and a picnic table outside along with a BBQ.... More

We are happy you found our place adorable and nicely decorated. Thanks for the tip on the lamp. We do have a reading lamp on the one side of the bed in that particular cabin, but will try to figure out where to put another one. I am not sure why you thought we did not have internet...We do, There... More

My wife and I and our golden stayed two nights at Grace Lake Resort. We came to the resort for its history, to see its contribution to the community and to explore the rich logging history of Shingletown. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The quaint mountain resort lies in a dense forest of majestic Western Red Cedar, White and... More

We were traveling up from San Francisco through Lassen National Park for the day. As we did not want to stay in Redding nor Chester we search for a motel near the park. We discovered Grace Lake Resort in Shingletown and decided it looked ok for a night. We booked by calling and speaking to Teresa, the owner of 4... More

Wow! What a beautiful location. I cannot overstate the feeling of connectedness that Grace Lake has maintained with the natural beauty of the area while providing a full range of luxury ameneties to their visitors. The quality of the individual cabins are particularly impressive, maintaining a 'Country Cottage' feel while being painstakingly furnished to provide an exceptionally comfortable experience. The... I simply can't say enough about my stay at Grace Lake Resort. I spent two nights at the resort and will definately be staying there again next time I return to the Lassen Area. My cabin (Cabin #3) was extremely CHARMING, very clean, and cozy. I loved the "French Country Theme" and thought for a mountain cabin it was FANTASTIC!... More

We spent two nights here while visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park. There are VERY few places to stay near the park, which is why we chose Grace Lake Resort. Our cabin (#2) was tidy, clean, with what appeared to be new windows. The single room has a comfortable king bed, dresser with mirror, dining table with two chairs, and very... More

We were here in early October & were the only guests. Our intention was to visit Lassen Park - unfortunately unrealised as the US budgetary disagreement meant that all national parks were closed - a sad indictment on American politics which must badly affect tourism. Anyway the cabin itself was clean & comfortable - we particularly liked the bed/bedding. The... More

We realize you traveled a great distance to visit Mt. Lassen National Park and we do understand your frustration, it is unfortunate our political leaders couldn't compromise and chose to close the federal goverment including all National Parks. As a result we had alot of guest reschedule or cancel their vacations, this had a significant impact on all of us... More

We stayed at Grace Lake Resort last weekend with a group of 4 families and had an amazing experience. The cabins far exceeded our expectations in comfort and amenities. The cabin was clean, totally refurbished inside, and had everything a family needs when away from home (mini fridge, microwave, dishes, etc). We stayed in the Paris theme cabin and the... More

Stayed two nights here in cabin 6 to visit Lassen. We really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet, no tv nor radio just us and nature. We could hear the animals in the morning waking up and scent the smell of trees. Nice littel cabin recently refurbished with two beds, kitchen, bathroom, everything you need and a big lawn around... Lassen Volcanic National Park does not have many visitor facilities other than campgrounds and a few minimalist cabins adjacent to the campgrounds, so we stayed at Grace Lake Resort. The resort is a small complex consisting of a house and about six small cabins. We stayed in a cabin. The cabins are quite old but they have been nicely fixed... More
